help, 3Com ADSL modem doesn't work on XP,

Hi, I've tested several beta version of XP, Professional and Home Edition. My 3COM ADSL Modem Dualink just doesn't work on XP. It works fine under Win95/98/ME/2k. I guess it's a driver problem, but 3Com has discontinued its support for all broadband modens.

Just wondering, bought an 1. 3GHz 266mhz T-bird this weekend and popped it into an AOPen AK73Pro A mobo and on boot it posted 1000Mhz (10 x 100fsb) I'm wondering if this is normal that the multiplier is locked at 10 since it was intended for 133mhz fsb (10 x 133= 1.

Slow CD Access

I'm running Win2k and my system slows down to a crawling pace when I try to read a CD. When I put the CD in the CD-ROM, it takes almost a minute for Windows Explorer to read the CD. I've tried three different CD drives (two 40x and one 32x) and they all behave the same way.

How do I get rid of this?

I have a virus in my system volume. How do I get rid of it? Nortons Antivirus says my system is clean but I keep getting an error saying I have this virus and Nortor's has denied access to the file, but I keep getting this pop up and it take a ton of clicks to get rid of it.

Weird mp3 problem!!!

All of my mp3 files have the defalt windows icon (dont know what it is called but it is white with the windows flag on it). I tried reinstalling winamp to see if that helped. Winamp is my defalt mp3 player if that also helps.

voodoo2 problems please help!

Hi, for some reason my voodoo2 will not work under windows2000. I've tried the drivers on this page as well as the beta 1. 02's on 3dfx webpage. According to windows2000 the card is installed properly, it is under device manager with no problems.

OK this is a weird question I used to use the shutdown command that came with Win2K to schedule autoshutdowns at night, for times i download stuff and then go to bed with the PC on. The file is shutdown.

Guys, Last weekend I took the plunge and installed win 2000. I tried to install on a brand new 30 gig disk. When installing win 2000 created a 2 gig partition and that was it so all I see in win 2000 is a 2 gig disk.

Anyone using a logitech cordless mouseman optical?

I really don't like this mouse, especially the scroll wheel. Is it a malfunction of my mouse or do all mouseman wheels feel so loose. i mean, normally a wheel clicks while scrolling and it scrolls only when clickig (at least on my good old MS wheelmouse).

Damned compaq's. Anyways maybe somebody here can help me I upgraded a compaq preserio model 7360 to windows 2000 and now Im having trouble finding drivers for it. Compaq is stupid. From the hardware down to even the way the put their cases together.

Quick Question about USB printers

I don't have one, but am thinking of getting one. do they still have the SCSI(it looks like it's a SCSI 25 ld) interface? I ask because that's what my print server uses. otherwise, I'll need an old rig to set it up as the print server.

DVDROM unrecognized by system

Hi, My Windows2000 can not recognize my Samsung 16X DVD ROM which comes with my DELL PIII system? I had it working properly before, but after i install/unistall several creative sound card driver or webcam drivers, the system can not recognize my CDROM( No letter) and i can not add new hardware.

To day we just received new computers with P4 1. 4 N on them. Well the only difference I saw first was it was installed on a new Intel Motherboard and it was using SDRAM. But when I wanted to change the processor with a P4 1.

SupraMax 56K USB Modem probs

Hi, I have the above USB modem and cannot get it working correctly in XP 2600. It works fine in Win98 & Me. It is recognised and in propertiies etc I can communicate with modem however when I try to connect to internet it say dialing and after a few minutes it says error 777.

Sony DVD-Rom not recognized when starts with a cd in it

I just got this Sony 16x DVDrom and everything seemed to go well, until one time I looked and it just wasn't there in My Computer. That computer management program that comes with Win2k saw it, but said it was disconnected or something.
