Finding firmware for devices?

How do you find which firmware your devices are using for cdroms and such? I don't see it in the device manager like it was in win9x. Thanks, Erik.

Plextor 12/10/32A Burning strangely

My plextor burner is experiencing some wierd activity since I started XP. . . When I burned cds in windows 2000, it would burn fine, but under windows XP, it burns, then stops, then burns, etc until the cd finishes.

Detonator problems - GeForce3

Ok guys, this is already known but since I still haven't solved this problem (and most of you have) I have to post this. I have problems with ALL Detonator drivers (XX. XX since I have GeForce3). The system suddenly dies in desktop (freezes > the audio can contnue though) and sometimes after a while reboots itself.

Drivers for 3com lan/dsl

My brother is upgrading to win 2k. He owns a Pavilion 9686c. I'm helping with the upgrade. I need the drivers for a 3 com lan/dsl modem. None posted on the 3com site. Will the drivers for the non lan equipped modem work.

If you do and your running win2k do you get that Game host has to much latency error or something like that. If Im lucky I get on 5% of the games. I have to logoff and rejoin battlenet about 10 times and then if Im lucky Ill get a game.

Detonators 2081 and Geforce2 ultra prob

Just installed detonator 20. 81 driver into win2000 system for a asus geforce 2 ultra and i keep getting a directx cannot do error OUT of MEMORY. . Mainly when i run 3dmark2001 it happens after about 2 minuits.

Sorry not sure where to put this so appologies if its in the wrong forum. I currently have a voodoo 3 3500 and plan on getting the Gold version of XP ASAP (currently have RC1) I know the V3 isn't supported so I will need a new card, however money is tight.

I went to Windows Update and there was a new driver for SBLive. It downloaded, but would never install. Plus,after this and a reboot I could log on my DSL account, but I couldn't access any web sites.

A while back someone had ACPI problems running XP on P2B boards: Did you come up with a solution? I too has this problem, and what's worse - my HDD is only allowed to run in PIO mode making the whole thing dog slow.

I just recently installed Windows XP and was having a problem with my system crashing every time that I tried to run a Direct 3D game. I tried installing practically every version of the detonator drivers out there and still my system crashed every time I tried to play anything in direct 3D.
