omg installing ram req to format?

I just bought 512MB ram to replace my single chip 256MB. Couldn't believe it gave me a blue screen. Do I have to format just for ram? If so that's ridiculus.

Hi all, I just got a Nicole 5. 1 Surround Sound System (SD1500) and I am having a ***** of a time setting it up properly on my Video Logic SonicFury sound card. When I hook up the leads to the sound card, I get sound out of the sub and the front/rear speakers but not the center speaker.

How do i get CD Digital Audio working in XP?

How do i get Digital Audio on my Plextor UltraPlex 32X CD rom with LSI Logic 53C810 scsi-adapter to work? Windows XP says the drive can NOT playback Digital Audio. Though, Digital Audio worked with the same hardware in Windows 9x/ME.

Major Dump with Detonator XP

Hi Just got the chance to install RC2 a few days ago and all seemed fine until I updated my GF3 drivers to the new Detonator XP. Now when I do a number of things my system dumps, one is when I paste a bit of text from IE into word and anothe is when I try and run mame.

XP was runing fine on my bp6 machine. I upgraded my V3 3000 to a gef2 mx400 (hardly an upgrade I know). Installed the det21. 81's and then received bsod afetr bsod after bsod and auto rebooting. I had XP also running on my CUV4x-d machine and was running fine until i got the same errors after installing latest dets.

Pinnacle PCTV in Win2K?

The Pinnacle website states that the PCTV (PCI TV tuner/capture card) is not designed to run in NT or Win2K. Has anyone had any luck getting this card to work in Win2K? I'd rather not dual boot for this.
