Scanner makes Stripes

Hi, my Scanner makes some Stripes in CMYK Colors when I choose preview or scann. I've a Mustek Scanexpress 6000 P with the Windows 2000 drivers which work fine at my friends PC with a Plustek 6000 P (it's really the same).

Asus P3V4X temps reading ???!!

Hi, there's something I don't understand: at whatever speed I set my CPU -a P///650E- from 650 (original) to 911 (fsb140) I see the temps jumping up and down when idle from 37° to 46° while just browsing, no heavy apps running.

Anyone here know of a different motherboard monitoring program other that MBM? I have a ECS k7s5a and I dont think that MBM suports it (or I could be setting it up wrong). Or is anyone using MBM on the same board?.

ok guys i really need 2 know what has been done about this problem, i have heard it from many sources and need 2 fix it as its pissing me off. both my mouse and keyboard quite requently get lagged in games.

Help with elsa Gladiac 920???

I went and bit the bullet, and bought a GForce 3 card - the Elsa Gladiac 920. Well, when I tried to install their drivers (wanted to see what their tool tabs looked like), it looked to have installed, but at the end I get an error saying an error occurind during installation of the device - the data is invalid.

I have installed IRM-100 module to MB (asus cusl-2c) and enabled irda support from BIOS, but I can't get Win XP to regognize my IRDA module at all. What is wrong?.

well the 21. 81 drivers for winxp dont work for me it installs but says not properly installed i get the yellow ? anyways my 2d sucks didnt bother with 3d has anyone actually got it to install correctly obtw gts 2 pro via kt133a 4-1in 4.

I have read about that there is no support for 3dfx-drivers at W-Xp. But do anyone think there is any possibility that someone makes drivers, so the tools works, f. ex Tv-out? I mean, there is alot of people that use 3dfx-cards, and some cards are still at sale.

A workmate of mine has a Compaq Presario 5000. It came with Windows ME preinstalled & 2 Compaq system restore cd's. Anyway, I delparted the original partitions & installed Win2K on this machine but I don't know how to install the (built-in) audio.

I have an audigy, and i'm thinking of getting headphones. Does the Audigy pump out high enough quality sound to warrent a pair of Sennheisers (HD580/HD590)?.

Hi, have been reading the forum a bit and you guys sound like you know what you're doing:P (I don't). I hope someone can help me, this has been driving me crazy. I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 2K, but along with several other problems, Windows setup told me that 3dfx Tools was incompatible.

Is the Philps Acoustic Edge the only sound card to do this true 5. 1 support in games,dvds,and music? I dont think the Santa Cruz does this true 5. 1 but not sure. The Philps Acoustic Edge actually outputs discrete channels unlike the Santa Cruz or Live!.

Hi All, I just installed W2k and it wont detect my aopen 56k pci modem. the modem has a rockwell chipset as well Im getting a pci simple communications controller error. It wont install. I have all the latest drivers for aopen too.

I used to use Windows 2000 and had it set up to use my two desktop speakers, plus the two sony speakers I have connected thru a reciever. Now no matter what layout of speakers for Windows XP, it only plays the desktop speakers and nothing else.

RAID setup question

I am going to be getting a RAID motherboard and was wondering if I could do this: Right now I have a 13GB WD 5400RPM drive. Can I buy 1 more 13GB drive that is 7200RPM and run them together? Or do the drives have to be exactly the same? If not, would I be better saving the money and just buying one more 5400RPM 13G ...
