Win2000 System Freeze

I have huge problems with Win2000 and my Terratec 128 PCI soundcard. When I play Music on my Computer (e. g. with Winamp) the System freezes after approximately a few minutes. Sometimes it takes up to hours, but it always crashes.

XP pro / SB PCI64 - "scratchy" sound output?

Can anyone assist please? Upgraded from W98 to XP Pro, all devices in W98 were working ok. XP upgrade went ok except that now sound is distorted - sounds scratchy, kinda hi-pitched. All devices ok in Device manager, no conflicts.

winxp + sblive: weird problem

I'm running Windows XP final, and I have a weird problem: When I play games which were made for DirectX 8 and up, everything works well. However, when I play a game that uses DirectX 7 or below, the graphics hang every few seconds, then they're smooth again, then hang.

Aopen DVD drive

I've got an Aopen DVD drive on another box, and the weird thing is that it works fine with normal cd's and can even identify when there is a dvd in the drive, but it just can't play it. . . Any ideas short of getting a different drive?.

sorry if this appears 2x hi, thinking about buying a new card. But am leary, reading about a lot of problems on XP. So I need to be sure its gonna work well with xp. I have used 3DFX in the past. And was always happy with them.

sony crx-1600L burner

windows xp see my sony crx-1600L burner as a normal cd-rom! i cant burn cds! help me! sony are being themselfs and saying they dont support XP, so im pretty screwed. i believe that it is because windows does load my drivers for the cd burner so it just loads standard cd-rom drivers.

Soundblaster CT4620, CT4670, CT4760 users

I have the CT4620 card and am very annoyed about the drivers situation, i decided to try the drivers for the Sound Blaster Live! / Value (CT483x, CT478x)card and they have installed fine so far, and seem to be working, though it only installed 2 applications as far as i can tell Hope this helps someone.
