509b in XP

I cant get my 3com 509b isa card working in windows XP. 3com have not made any drivers and I cant find any in windows. Anyone have any tips?.

which scsi hard drive should i buy

i am going to be buying a scsi hard drive very soon and i was wondering what ur opions are i am looking at getting either an ibm ultrastar 10000 rpm scsi or a segate cheeta 10000 rpm scsi. they are both around the same price so i was wondering which one would be more reliable long lasting etc.

QuickCam VC and XP

Alright, I posted this in the NT4 area (oops) so i'll repost here. . . I have a quickcam VC Parrallel port version (The USB oen will be here tommorrow and will work with less problems *hopes*). . . XP knows its there, but i cant get the software to install right.

Anyone have this webcam (kind of old) Get it working in XP/ I see logitech doesnt have xp or win2k drivers for it. Just win98 and winnt 4. 0 drivers.

Hard drive question

I have 2 hard drives in my system. One is NTFS, the other if FAT32. If I boot to a Win98 boot disk, I should be able to see the FAT32 drive, right? Right now, that doesn't work and I can't figure out why.

Wierd SCSI CD ROM Problem

Anyone heard of this before? I installed a new Cyberdrive SCSI CD ROM internal with my Yamaha SCSI CDR. Win XP installed 8 cd rom drives for the cyberdrive LUN0 LUN1 LUN2 LUN3 etc. Why did this happen?? I can gain access to any of the drive Icons as the cyberdrive (hmmm) So what I did was disable LUN1 through LUN9 ...

Just tried them ( ), and they work fine (no skipping or jumping of mp3s etc. ), so anyone who has to use the newer drivers might want to try these. If your controller is on-board you'll need to upgrade your motherboard BIOS to one with a v2.

Hi evyrobody. I have just finished winxp instalation and everything seems to work fine. The only problem i have,thats why i am posting here,is the compatibility with my modem. The modem is a diamond supramax usb 56k and i was very happy owning one with my millenium o/s.

aspi manager for my nec 7800a under xp

I just received my new system with the nec 7800a cdr and winxp. I'm trying to use fireburner and cdrwin to burn some. bin files but they both complain that they can't find the aspi manager. I couldn't find any info on that in neither nec's website nor mictosoft's.

SB Live! problem

I have a 1. 4 ghz, 128 ram computer with a gaming Creative Labs SB Live! sound card and Cambridge Soundworks speakers (4 speakers and a subwoofer). I go to Control Panel, Sound and Audio devices, speaker setting (advanced) and it's set on Quadraphonic speakers.
