If i had Windows Me, and everything was working like a dream, then i installed Windows XP(Clean install) and now some devices does not work(like the usb adapter, it hangs), is it a problem of the hardware, even tough it worked fine before, or is it a OS problem?, should I wait for MS to fix it, or should i go back ...

I recently upgraded my cpu to XP, I am haveing a hard time getting my Monster 3D2 with voodoo 2 chip set to work. I recently was given this card and I can't get it or my on-board video to work(SIS 630/730.

In device manager I can choose too enable digital cd audio but when I do that I get no sound. When the is not enabled I get sound but there´s more sound from the left speaker and then the right one. How come? and why don´t i get sound with digital cd audio enabled?.

i just got a new dell 2. 0 ghz, very nice setup, all the best stuff with it. it has a windows xp compatible logo on the front so i got win xp and did a clean format and install. i installed detonator 21.

Has anyone got this to work on XP Pro Edition, I'm running the final retail build and it installs but drivers are not digitally signed and therefore when I try to read the cards it acts like there is nothing there.

Hard Disk not performing well in WinXP

Just tried HDTach with my new rig and the results were shocking. I was getting max transfer of 31MB/sec and cpu utilization 64% I remember doing alot better in Win2K. Anyone know what's wrong? Specs below.

OK i still can not get the fudging 3dfx 3000 card working correctly, the diplay is corrupt under the standard XP drivers, dark backgrounds are speceled with Purple garbage, this is under normal XP drivers? Boot problems, help please!

Hello. I installed WindowsME on a second HD(after installing XP), I did that because XP hate my USB and i have to use the CDR. Now my problem is that i cant make a dual boot, if I want to boot ME i have to edit the bios and disable the HD that XP is in, and that is very anoyeeng(is that the right word?).

I have downloaded every patch: Service pack 2, DirectX,. . . EVERYTHING But my Creative 3D Blaster Tnt2 Ultra card won't run. It only begins to start Windows and when it's time to show the desktop the screen turns black or blue and the computer hangs up.

USB hung problems, please help!

Hi. I did a clean install of WinXP, everithing was fine, until I plugged into the usb port my cdr (iomega predator), then the system froze, the only way to make work was to push the reset button, and that keeps happening whenever i plug in the cdr.

Previously read CDs cannot be read in WIn2k.

Need some advises here. Formly using WinME, I am able to read these OEM CDs and CDs I made myself. But after upgrading to win2k, I discovered that I cannot read some of them anymore. How is this possible? I can boot into DOS to read the CDS.
