( kind of long) XP Plus! and Matrox G400 drivers causes cons

Just wanted to see if any one else has experienced this. My basic setup is: Abit BE6 PIII 450 256 Mb PC100 G400 SB Live! Value I installed XP and XP Plus! on my secondary partition. (HPT 366 controller prohibits a straight upgrade from 98SE).

Recently upgraded my other PC to XP. It's a PII with 256MB + Elsa Galdiac GeForce. Works just fine, except for. . . . The Voodoo TV FM card simply isn't recognised , the Device Manager shows it but XP won't install drivers and even the original CD gets rejected.

How to get CD-Rom drive to support UDMA mode?

Hi, I have an Aopen CD-956E cd-rom drive attached to a CMD ATA-100 controller card as primary master but I couldn't set it to support UDMA mode, it shows as PIO mode only even though I have chosen DMA if available in the device manager and that the cd-rom does support UDMA33.

CDRom drives disappeared after UDMA66 enabled

Hi, I have activated the UDMA66 mode using the registry : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000EnableUDMA66 = 1. I don't know if that worked for the hard drives, but several hours after doing that (i didn't used the cd rom for 3 or 4 hours, so i didn' ...

My friend has an internet IDE version running on 2K and it works fine. My external SCSI model works fine in 2K aswell. . I've not tried it under XP yet. .

ok I have tried Dets 12. 41, 21. 83, 21. 85, 22. 50 and 22. 80 and anytime that I run 3dmark2000 the computer eathier reboots at the part with a rope looking thing rolling over and over or hard locks their.

I know there have been people with problems using the hpt370 and raid under XP. I'm happy to announce that my 2 40GB 60GXP's are working great under XP Pro 2600. w00t! Specs below, FYI. It's teh Samurai Pro.

For those who installed Nero and now have no CD-ROM drives: After installing WINXP and Nero 5. 5. 5. 1 all my CD-ROM drives were not working. They all showed in Device manager with the yellow !. It said the drivers were there, but the hardware could not be started.

Bad performance SCSI Burning

I'm having really bad performance when burning CD's under windows XP. I'm only able to burn at 8x speed from hardisk to CDR. And 4x speed from DVD to CDR. My system: Adaptec 29160 Scsi Card. Abit KT7A-Raid, with latest bios.
