Win2k can't use my PS/2 mouse port!

I though I had killed my PS/2 ports some how, they used to work when I got the mobo, but one day they didn't anymore. I don't know what happened, but I always felt sure I messed something up somehow, and have since been forced to use a USB mouse an keyboard.

80GB HDD only recognized as 32GB???

Hi guys! I just recently picked up a Seagate Barracuda 80GB 7200RPM ATA100 HDD. But I've been having problems trying to get the full disk space recognized. So far I've used Partition Magic 5 and 6.

Motherboard Recommendation

Hi all, I am thinking of buying a new motherboard, but am not to sure what one to get, can you recommend one. It needs 4 DIMM Slots 1 AGP 5-6PCI slots. and a pentium 4 capable Thanks for any advice. .

System Error (102)????

I keep getting this every time I reboot. I keep sending the report int too. But when I go into event viewer, then to the MS Website to see what this error means, it always says Sorry, can not answer this.

excesive floppy disk seek

Whenever I run RTCP or Quake 3 or run some app the system scans my floppy disk! before I disable my floppy drive is there a workaround fot this??? My sistem windows XP pro PIII 866 512 mb ram SBLIVE latest xp drivers Winfast titanium TI gforce 2 latest detonator drivers maxtor 40gb HDD

IRQ problem with firewire video capture on K7VZA MB

I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. I just helped a friend build a machine from parts and it all worked great until he tried video editing (the whole reason he bought the machine). THe computer is an ECS K7VZA mb with Athlon 1ghz processor and 768mb and 60gig HD.

Direct3d Drivers For Voodoo 2???

I recently installed WinXp Pro on my P233 w/ 160MB Ram I got a Guillemot Voodoo2 card and I can't get DirectX to work on it. Does anyone know where I could get drivers that support this API if they exist? Help would be appreciated!!! Thanks ***PART OF OUR LIFE IS CHANCE.

I d/l the driver for directX/glide/openGL for windows XP. The installation instructions at ntcompatible. com say that to install I firt have to download the new Win2k V4/V5 drivers from here. I click the link here and get a page not found error.

Nvidia Det 23.11 + WDM 1.08

I was wondering if anyone has both the new 23. 11 and the 1. 08 WDM capture drivers installed, and whether or not the capturing works in windows 2000? and if so in what programs do the capturing work? expecially would like to hear from people who have the same vid card as i do Asus v7700 delux.

Nvidia Win2K refresh fix screw my monitor?

I have never had a problem with this utility before. But I just ran the Nvidia Win2K refresh fix on an older Samsung Syncmaster 550s monitor (I made the registry backup on the hard disk). Now when I boot the machine (& I will be doing this physically soon), I can't load windows.

To those with VIA chipsets and DMA problems

I finally got Windows XP and 2000 to enable DMA for my CD-ROMs. In Win9x all you have to is check DMA, in Win2k/XP you have to ensure that DMA if Available is selected, however, some of us VIA users still get PIO modes even with this on.
