Disappearing CD-ROM/CD-RW ... any solutions?

Problem: After attempting to burn a CD with nero or clonecd, my LiteOn 12x (secondary master IDE) CDRW drive disappears from Windows Explorer and My Computer. Upon rebooting, XP Pro finds new CD-ROM and asks for the XP CD to install new hardware.

Hollywood Remote Control Problems...

Did any get their Hollywood Remote Control from Sigma Designs for their Hollywood Plus card to work? For the life of me I can't get it to work. The IR port that attaches to my serial port gets recognized by my WinXP Pro as a serial mouse.

dual monitor power options

I am running win2000 with an asus tnt2 ultra agp video card and a matrox pci video card with 2 monitors. I want the monitors to turn off after 20 mins of inactivity. I have set this in the power options, but only one monitor turns off (the one connected to the matrox card).

Just recently I was gievn an 18 gig SCSI Seagate Cheetah, and although it runs as sweet as a nut in WIndows 98, I can't for the life of me get it to run in Windows XP Pro. Logitech VC USB Webcam and auto reboot???

Hello guys. ! First of all thanks for the driver I found on the web site for the Logitech VC USB Webcam under W2000. It works great. THe only downside is that since I installed it, when I want to shutdown the box, my PC restarts!!!! Any ideas??? Thanks Le Gars.

Hello!! I have installed Win XP pro on my PC. After I did this I got the same DVD playback problems as I had in Win 98/ME untill i checked on the DMA for my DVD player. If I have an old 12x CD-ROM slaved to my ATA100 hard disk will that cause the hard drive to be slower? What if I slave an ATA33 drive to an ATA66/100 drive? Will the 66/100 drive use ATA33 speed?

WinXP 'nv4_disp.dll' Infinite Loop Crash

Anyone else getting this BSOD in XP? Seems to be driver related. Anything other than the native Geforce (12. 40) drivers eventually will crash XP with WinXP 'nv4_disp. dll' Infinite Loop message. Any ideas would be appreciated It happens at stock speeds also, not just overclocking.

Send To CDRW

Ack! I upgraded my CDRW firmware, and now the Send To CD-writer is gone! Is there a way to bring it back? All my other programs (eg. Nero) work fine on my system still. Also. . Can one use the Backup utility that comes with XP to backup their stuff on CDRW? Thanks in advance, CounterCW.

Detonator 23.11 Problems - Black Screen

I have a PNY GeForce 3 with XP (2600) using drivers 21. 83 Yesterday I downloaded the 23. 11 new detonators to see if I would get a little performace boost. . . but when I reboot Windows (after installing the drivers) it gives me no image AT ALL Just an ugly black screen When I reinstall 21.
