Greetings, I've recently upgraded from NT 4. 0 to w2k Pro and i'm experiencing some problems with my cd writer. It's a HP 8250i and despite everybody says that it is compatible with w2k the drive letter doesn't appear and the software says that there aren't any compatible devices on my system.

USB problems with KT266a chipset

I just got a new computer: AMD 1700+, Gigabyte motherboard with KT266a chipset, Windows XP. The problem is that USB mice do not work properly. Both mice that I tried (Logitech) work just fine on my old computer but on the new computer cursor movement is very jerky as if the sampling or refresh rate is very slow.

I am thinking of upgrading to Win2K, and am trying to eliminate any components which I have which may be incompatible with it. However, I have found no information concerning my scanner, the Agfa SnapScan 1212p.

Workaround Solution for Agfa 1212p paralel scanner

Hi. Well, 2K and NT drivers are not working on XP for this scanner. Agfa told this scanner is discontinued and no new driver will be made. First, NEVER BUY ANY **** TO AGFA ! Second, How can I do, I don't want to throw away my scanner even if old and buy a new one, even if cheap now.

Hi All, I can't seem to find a WORKING WIndows XP driver for this device. I have managed to find Windows 2000 drivers. However, uipon Installation, Device manager complains that the drivers are not XP-certified.

Hi I guess that what I am about to ask amounts to common sense really, but I thought I would canvas a few opinions anyway. Essentially, I have a PowerMan (Sparkle) 250W PSU powering my system, and a very good PSU it is too.

Yes I have the same problem, everytimes that I boot my computer, it checks for a floppy drive, everytimes that I launch any applications, it checks for a floppy drive, when a game loads, it checks for a floppy drive,.

can't stop explorer checking floppy drive

every time i open 'my computer' it checks if there's a disk in the floppy drive. it only started doing it the other day but i cant think what i've done to make it happen. anyone know how to make it stop?.

Hi Guys, I have an old video card that is not supported by windows xp. The VgaSave default drivers, loads it all good. I can go up to max resolution and the colors are fine. The only thing I want to change is the Refresh Rate.

Do you need a new case and power supply to switch over to P4 motherboards? Do they not fit in normal ATX cases? Also I saw these new 64-bit PCI slots on some new boards when did they come out????????

dvdrom and cdr message: disk in drive not formatted....

I am running W2K and recently developed a problem. When I boot my machine up, all of the drives show up in windows explorer. When I put a disk into either drive (dvdrom or cdr drive), the disk spins, but nothing else happens.

scanport scanner won't work in XP

Have a scanport sq4800 parallel port flatbed scanner,have tried the latest drivers from scanport(out of business)and they won't work with XP,every time I install the scanner and drivers xp finds 8 scsi scanners and an unsupported scsi/raid host controller.
