I have TNT2 MX64 video card and a 17 LCD monitor. The problem is occassionaly an Out of Range when the resolution setting is set to 1280x1024 @75 hz message appear or the screen just display garbage.

Microsoft Forcefeedback 1 problems in XP

Just done a fresh install of XP pro having had a few problems with my soundcard and MS FF joystick. Having installed the OS I check it everything worked okay, soundcard working okay, MS FF joystick running okay, but I got the dreaded NVidia loop problem with nv4_disp.

PCI Radeon + DELL Intel Mobo + WinXP = Hangs at bootup?

A friend of mine has a DELL that, much to my cargin, she will not get rid of. The thing has an Intel board on it, with intel's onboard video card. Now she does a lot of video watching, and whenever she full-screens anything with the onboard card it gets blocky, obviously due to the on-board's crappiness.

im here with a 750mhz duron running win2k. what's a good video card that i can buy? less than $150 prefrebly. im using a Voodoo3 2000 now, but i want better game play. can someone tell me what to look for in a videocard?.

Since ATI hasn't released any drivers for Windows XP, I've been using their old 7. 1 set released for Win2k back in July. I've had to use the trick of changing color depth or bringing up a menu to get a non-garbled screen image, but otherwise the drivers seem to be alright for basic use.

I am trying to get 3 video cards to work with xp at the same time. . . I cannot get it to work. When I boot with all three vid cards, one of them disappears from the device manager. I am using 2 PCI and one AGP.

SB Pro under Win2k

I've got a SB Pro 2 (CT1600) card, and I'm having problems getting Win2k to recognise it. Win2k does detect it as an unknown Multimedia Controller, but I can't progress from there. I've downloaded a number of different drivers (mostly DOS drivers) and even NT3.

after having upgraded to win 2k I have discovered that my sound card (aztech pci288 q3d) is not supported & doesn't work. The aztech site states use the win default driver. i have tried all the likely drivers but to no avail , help, please! pete.

Quality CD rom drive ??

Hey guys, I have bought 3 Mitsumi CDroms in less than a year. So I have come to the conclusion that Mitsumi CDrom drives are total junk. With that said, who makes a good quality CDrom drive ?? It has to be IDE, so please, no SCSI recommendations.

Currently I am running both Win98 and Win2000 on my computer. I have 2 Maxtor HDD installed which are both udma compliant. In Win98, both harddrives are recognized as udma and I get good transfer rates with both.

I noticed when I right click> properties on C:\ it says I'm using 7. 48 gigs, but when I highlight all the files at the root of c:\(inc hidden and system files)and right clcik> properties it says 5.

Maxtor 30GB HDD is slow

I got a 30GB 7200rpm maxtor drive on a promise pci ata100 controller. I benchmarked it with sisoft sandra and i got scores below ata66 (i don't remember the exact score, i believe it was around 18000.
