Read this over at TweakXP's forum. Posted by OPEN_SOURCE. Try going into Services under Administrative Options in Control Panel. Disable anything relative to Nvidia Services. Someone is stating on TweakXP that this service for some reason is causing the NVidia driver to be loaded twice.

maxreboot nvidia drivers do NOT have fixed refresh rate!

Can anybody tell me how to fix the refresh rate. I get 60hz in games with the drivers on the NTComp front page. nvrefix does not work of course. I have my monitor set to its brand, etc. How do I fix this problem with the new detonator drivers?.

Quantum Fireball Refuses to Function in DMA

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working. When I try to boot Windows XP (also had the problem with Win98 and Win2k) with it connected, it take ages (I suspect trying to initialise UDMA). Then after boot up the device manager says PIO Mode and the transfer rates of the drive are 3.

Enable Fastwrites?

I'm running WinXP Pro with a Geforce 3 Ti500 using the 23. 11 Nvidia drivers. Anyone know how to enable Fastwrites? I have it enabled in the BIOS, but when I run 3dMark2001 SE, the report says that it's supported, but disabled.

RAID 0 in XP?

Just got another 60 gig Maxtor Ultra-133 identical to the one I have right now in my system and was wondering if I could setup a software RAID 0 with it w/o going out and buying a RAID card. I'm pretty sure Win2k supported software RAID 0, but was wondering if XP also does.

Hey all, First of all, the special keyboard keys are the extra ones that're popping in all new keyboards to perform certain tasks like play a cd, launch IE,. . . etc. Ok here's the situation. I have a keyboard with a bunch of these keys and I never bothered to install the software for it when I was in win98.

SMC II PCI drivers on win2k

I'm trying to replace an older nic with an SMC II 10/100 pci. I looked on SMC's web site for a driver, and I tried adding it within windows. Neither place had the driver and the card was not autodetected.

Via chipsets & 2k hiding drives in Bios

I can not hide either of my 2 hard drives in the bios because of M$'s incompatability with Via chipsets. I have 2k w/SP2 installed on a Fat32 partition using a Epox 8-KTA M/B. Does anyone know whether or not the Asus A7N266-C motherboard has the same overclocking features of the A7N266-E? Specifically, does the C have a fixed PCI bus speed like the E along with the ability to vary CPU, I/O, Memeory voltages and Front Side Bus and Memory Bus speeds? Thanx in advance.

I can only get my Scanjet 3300c to work as the Administrator on my Windows 2000 machine. If I login as another user and try to use the Hp Precision Scan Lt software I get the following errors. There is a problem with the registry settings.
