Dual 2k drives imaged w/ Ghost 2nd drive won't boot

I really don't know just how to explain this. I have 2 bootable drives with 2k on each. The second is a image of the first done using Ghost. I've done this before, but this time the drives are hooked up to a Highpoint controller which, I assume is causing the problem.

hello everyone i picked up a scsi cdrom tower (7 drives) at an auction that has a centronics-50 connector on the back and would like to replace two of the drives with a burner and a more modern cd-rom.

In device manager, my HDD is said to be in Ultra DMA mode 3 and my CD Rom is in Ultra DMA mode 1. These are both 1 UDMA mode below what they should be. Any ideas??.

Hi all I just got an Audigy Soundcard and am already regreating my purchase First up System Specs: Windows XP Pro Geforce 2 Pro 512MB RAM Pentium 4 1. 7Ghz Audigy Platinum ex. In games if i select Hardware Mode for sound, i loose all sound in the game.

Hi Does anyone have problems with the Asuscom 280st Passive ISDN USB modem? When plugged to the onboard Via USB controller it uses 80-90% resources (the mouse hardly moves). Has the latest drivers - no diff.

My 30gig 7200rpm maxtor drive is having issues; every so often, it will hang with no disk activity with the HD access led lit as W2k loads tasbar items. It trashed my FAT32 filesystem and installation last year.

Through a massive cock-up with Partition Magic my main NTFS partition was rendered unbootable. Thinking only the partition table was screwed I attempted to repair it using the linux fdisk program booted using the tomsrtbt disk (something I've done several times before with no ill-effects.

I just upgraded to Win200. I have an ASUS A7M266 and a WD Caviar 30 BB Did SP2, but according to WinTune the transfer rate is 3. 2 MB/s. With Win98 I used to get 5. 8 MB/s Installed the Via 3-1. Remember this board uses AMD 761, Via Southbridge 686B.

I'm running Win 2K SP 2 Direct X 8. 1 on a 2 year old Athlon based PC 650 MHz Athlon, 256 meg RAM, AMD 750 chipset The machine originally came with Windows 98 and had the AMD bus mastering drivers installed.

Can someone just clarify this for me? I know all about DMA modes and Ultra DMA modes but what is Multiword DMA? My 52x CD uses Multiword DMA 2 and my Burner uses Mutliworld DMA? How do these relate to older DMA modes and PIO Modes?

Today I installed a Creative GeForce 4 TI 4400 video card on my Abit BX133-RAID motherboard. I have been using a Gainward GeForce 2 MX with no problems. When I turn on the PC with the new video card in place, I am no longer able to boot from the HPT370 controller.
