I am having problems with video playback (DivX etc) in Win XP. using the latest detonator drivers (23. 11, 28. 32, 29. 20). They do not seem to be accelerating the video properly - blocky video & high CPU usage.

Help, instability problems

Hey guys I have a as of yet undiagnosed problem. I'm running a Pentium 4 2GHz 845 ASUS P4B266 Motherboard 2 sticks of 512 MB DDRAM GeForce 4 Ti4400 and a Western Digital 120 GB IDE Hard Drive all inside a aluminum case with about 9 fans on it and being powered by a 420V power supply.

I have the Jamp3 MP3 player and need lots of help. the crumby software it came with is useless. All I use to do was drag and drop music to the player since the computer recognized it as a removable disk.

If you look at my sig gives all the details of my system! I ahve had my GeForce 2MX die on me and have ordered a new Gainward GeForce 4 4200 64mb version. I am just making sure that my 300watt PSU will be able to handle it or shall I buy another one.

Monitor losing sync followed by lockup

Any of you seen this before Perfectly stable PC in windows, limitless uptime etc then, when i play any game with hardware accelerated graphics, or any video, my moniter will lose sync, and if i touch a key on the keyboard, or hit the atx power button to induce a shutdown, the sound jams too.

Nividia Refresh Rate Fix for the New Drivers

Hi, I hope I am posting this in the right place. Have a machine running NT4 SP6a. All working fine up until today. I installed ORACLE forms and now the machine will not boot up. From blue boot sequence screen the PC proceeds to the NT desktop page but there is no NT logo.

Need help in a bad way here. I am unable to install either WinXP or Win2K on a customers machine. I have used these CD's without problem in the past, & they install just fine on one other machines (doing install on one of my own as we speak).

I tried to install win XP onto a brand new computer with Asus A7V333 a Creative GeForce 4400 and a 12gb HDD on the RAID controller. I used the drivers disc as I did with my own computer with the same hardware.

For some reason XP didnt install ACPI support, and im wondering if there is a way to install it without reinstalling XP. I heard of ways in 98 and such, but how do u do it in XP? The reason XP didnt detect ACPI support i dont know, might be a conflict.

MB beeps on startup when HD's start

When I boot my Epox EP8-KTA MB with 2 Maxtor HD's when the drives start, there are 2 beeps together as a DTMF touch tone keypad sounds. This has started recently. The only thing that I can see is the drives are having trouble starting or some conflict when they both start at the same time.

Kodak SnpShot Photo 1 Scanner drivers won't run under a Wind

Code:SAD I upgraded from Microsoft Windows 95 to 98 and then to 2000 Pro. I now cannot use my Kodak SnapShot 1 Photo scanner because if I upgrade to Win2K from 98SE with scanner drivers, It opens ok and starts scanning, then it debugs and closes the program.
