I have a NEC Multispin CDR-c302 (SCSI device) that I have used with an Adaptec 2940 adapter under Win95, Win98, & WinNT. I want to move to W2k; however, W2k will not recognize the NEC. When W2k boots it loops during the recognition phase.

I bought this card yesterday - (As it was going very cheap) and is a lot better than my old gf2mx. Anyway - I noticed as I was putting it in my pc that the onboard fan has three wires. Which suggests to me that it can read the speed of the fan.

Reg fix to RE-enable the 'Power Management' tab of NIC

Yo. . . Anyone know of a reg fix to RE-enable the Power Management tab of my NIC properties ? I guess once you uncheck Allow this device to bring computer out of stanby, the tab goes away for good. .

Hi! I'm running Windows2000 Pro and after upgrading my PC to an Athlon XP 1800+ based on an VIA KT266A Mainboard (Gigabyte 7VTXE+) my Creative Soundblaster didn't work anymore. . . So I bought the Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL which runs fine except for the 4 Speaker output.

SB Live Digital out and Boston Digital Media Theater

Well basically the digital out on my SB live is not working with my Boston Digital Media theater. Anaglog works fine. I don't have any other digital receivers to test it out. I am using microsofts driver on win.

Hey guys. . . I just bought about a 1000 dollars worth of new stuff including a Asus P4T533, 2. 53 P4, 100gig 8MB cache hard drive, and 512MB of Samsung rimm4200. The problem is, I can boot all the way to the Windows XP screen with the little moving blue bar.

Hey I have recently installed Windows 2000 professional on my computer along with Office 2000 Premium and have also put my Voodoo 3 2000 in the machine. The problem is that whenever i open or click anything, like the font menu, the computer hangs and then Word crashes.

Hi all, I made the very stupid suggestion to a friend that i help build him a computer. It worked fine for 3 days and then started randomly rebooting itself. The reboot is accompanied by an audible click, as if a breaker is switching on the motherboard.
