Hello, We have an HP2500CM color inkjet printer connected to our network at my office and have problems printing to it. Windows XP seemed to set the driver up for it but when we try to print to it all we get is a hwhole bunch of text even when we try to print a test page.

Problem with win2k and santa cruz

I seem to have a sound problem with win2k and my santa cruz sound card. This is a random problem, but every so often, whether I'm playing a game or a cd sometimes the computer will lock up and the sound will start skipping and I must do a hard restart.

Is there any webcam that will work with NT 4.0 on a laptop?

I'm trying to find out what options I have for webcams with NT 4. 0 on a laptop. I know that there are multitudes of USB webcams out there, and my laptop does have a USB port, but as far as I understand, the port is not functional with NT.

All of a sudden. . . slow hanging of programs. . . fan making wierd noises ( sounds like it speeds up then slows down over and over ). . . Then. . . os no boot. Reinstall os. . . everything seems fine.

MSI KT3 Ultra2-R and Win2k

I've recently built a new computer and based it on a MSI KT3 Ultra2-R motherboard. In the beginning it booted just nicely and I was able to install Win2k and all other programs I wanted. Then I shut the computer down for the night and the next day it started making trouble.

I'm running xp pro and am trying to copy large files (4 gb +) and have over 133 gb free on the drive and I am getting a 'not enough avalible disk space error. ' the drive i'm writing to is an external maxtor 160gb firewire.

Sound Dampening Fabric for the inside of your case

Hi I was thinking about buying this sound dampening fabric for the inside of my case. Has anyone tried any of these products? How much did it cut down the noise? Did it just work with the fan or HD and not the other? Could you still hear them both? Was it worth the money.

I have 2 hd's in the PC atm: Primary Master: Maxtor 30. 1Gb ATA-133 (BOOT, SYSTEM & PROGRAMS) Primary Slave: Maxtor 20. 4Gb ATA-100 (FILE STORAGE) both disks are nearly full and I'm thinking of purchasing another Maxtor 80Gb drive to replace the boot drive and use the remaining 2 as backup/storage drives.

I have. NET server and an SB Live! should I continue to use the windows drivers or should i mess with the creative drivers. I am using stereo only at this point so are there any features in creatives drivers that really warrant installing them and risking potential instability?.

.Net Enterprise Server, C-Media 8738 Chip

Motherboard (Asus P4B533-E) has intergraded 6 channel audio with the C-Media 8738 Chipset. Using the drivers for Windows XP listed on the Asus site, I cannot get sound in. Net Enterprise Server. Driver is installed fine, no bangs listed in Device Manager.

Most of the time I download compressed files I received CRC errors. What software is out there that can check if my hard drives have gone bad? Also, could there be any other factors, besides bad hard drives?.

Well, after XP installation I found that my Geforce 2 is perform badly in the new Luna interface, try some tweakings, stll not much improvement, I have turn off some animations and even try tweaking it to max performance setting, the 2D desktop still isnt up to the level of w9X/2k kind of speed.

Windows XP upgrade headaches

I just installed Windows XP as an upgrade, and it has wreaked havoc on my existing hardware. Does anyone know if there is driver available to work in XP for the NEC Superscript 1260 laser printer? I can't get the darn thing to work since I upgraded to XP.
