Enabling DMA 100 under Windows 2000

The subject says it all. How do u enable DMA 100? I ran a Sisoft Sandra test which gave me a result that match the one of a DMA 66 drive. My drive is a Seagate IV 40Gb IDE 100. I also ran PC-Mark 2002 which gave me score about 600.

I have install CDR100 to NT4. 0 for no problem. How to setup this old thing to Windows 2000 pro? Because can't found Cd recorder at Winon Cd 5. 02 PE I try everything already. 1: re-install Windows 2000 pro SP3.

AC97 Tone Controls..

what is that fix to enable bass and treble options in Windows when it normally isn't available? It's called AC97 Tone Controls and there is a registry fix for it, but I can't remember where or how.

Is 2.9v Too high for DDR?

I had to set it as 2. 9 for some reason it goes from 2. 7 to 2. 9 with no 2. 8 But its rock solid stable at that voltage. Anyone know about this stuff?.

Have posted this to a couple of other forums, so why not post it here too? Believe that the only thing that helps is to post as many times possible and hope that arses (asus) will egmit that there is something wrong with their board, a7v that is.

I dont kown if this should be under games or hardware so ya. . anyways Everytime i play the game it will work for a bit then freeze on my and then reboot my computer i have yet to finish a game. When windows reboots it come up saying that there was a serious error.

Ok, Here's the nightmare. I had been away from my gaming rig for awhile. I recently got it home from being in storage. Booted machine, did the SP1 update. . . . . . DOA, BSOD loop. Typical. Reload XP, Base install, Drivers WHQL only.

100GB HD, only getting 93GB... Help please.

I have a WD 100GB hard drive. And in Win2k Server it is only showing up as 93. 2GB hard drive. . . If I recall i think there is a way to get the full capacity I just don't remember. Can someone please tell me how to do it and what is involved? Thanks.

hi there, i bought myself a new computer: motherboard is gigabyte with KT400 and other fancy stuff. i also have hdd WD 120gb 7200rpm ata100. when turning on the computer, it checks for some ata133 stuff and it tells nothing was found.

CD- drives powersaving failure

I have E-IDE 52x/AKH A66 plain, simple cd-drive. The problem is that I would need to set the drives powersaving feature for 4 or 8 minutes, since one of my game disks installs really slow and thus requires more time.

I switched motherboards on one of my pc's because the motherboard died. And now win2k hangs when the first grey bar slides across at 100%. I plan on reformatting but first I need to get in so i can do a couple of things with some programs that were installed.

hi there! can anyone,someone, PLEAAASE help me out here! so everytime i boot my system i get the same cmos cheksum error. . . when i press continue xp loads but when i go into my bios setup and try to change the settings it doesnt change anything at all! cuz when i restart i get the same error.
