Bought new pc, Dual processor AMD, opinions

Athlon 2600 MP x 2, asus MP board. 768 MB ecc registered ram. Have any of you ran a dual amd rig, and how well did it turn out? Ive been using my Dual processor P3 800 for the last 18 months and it has been smooth sailing.

120GB IBM drive

I got home from work yesterday to suddenly find my primary slave (120GB IBM drive), wasnt working. Windows XP on my 40GB Seagate master drive said the 120GB wasnt formatted and was empty. I checked it with partition magic and it shows 60GB of data still there but the error check says too many errors.

256MB SDRAM + 64MB recognise 196MB internal memory

Monitor Reset, Please help

Ok guys see if you can figure this one out. I have a problem with my Viewsonic P95f+B while in windows the monitor will suddenly turn black then come back, sort of like it is switching refresh rates or resolutions.

Anyone have trouble with new atlons on A7V333s ???? like say 2600s?? I have the origanal processor which is 2100 works fine, tried 2 different 2600s and boots but wont go into windows. put 2100 back in works fine.

Unable to record any audio with my PCI 128

Can anyone explain why I can't record sound with this card plz? I've tried recording from Winamp, WMP9, Realplayer, Quicktime etc. . . I generally use Sound Recorder to capture sound in. wav format (but I've tried other programs too).

Audigy 2 - DOS Drivers

Hi! How can I use Audigy 2 with DOS games? I 've read that there aren't any DOS drivers. Only Audigy 1 had. Does anyone know if these work with 2 as well? If yes, where I can find them? They don't exist in Creative's site! I am Dual Booting XP with 98.

driver insists on trying to reinstalling

Something that I haven't been able to figure out. I have a HP Deskjet 845c which works great under W2k, except that the usb driver insists on trying to reinstalling itself every time I reboot. Doesn't hurt anything, but, darn annoying, and totaly unnecessary.

I have a 15 TFT on my IBM Thinkpad A31 laptop running Windows XP and have noticed other than one dead pixel (which is fairly common I gather) a dark smudge which only appears when viewing light colours in the centre on the screen (in the shape of a dark line about 1cm wide and 5 cm in length).

Hey a friend of mine has a 15 CTX TFT monitor, recently the image on the screen has gone extremely dark (you can hardly see anything on the screen) in the monitor settings the contrast and brightness are turned up to full what could be the problem? the monitor is a CTX PV50 something not 100% sure of the model thanks

Standby And Hibernation

Whenever my computer comes off standby or hibernation my harddrive light stays lit and my system hangs for 20 or 30 seconds when I run something or just open a windows explorer window. I can't restart or reenter standby mode it'll just stop and the shutdown screen forever.

KT133A + SB Audigy2 - What should I expect?

The motherboard in question is a Gigabyte 7ZXE (Socket A) with a KT133A chipset. I just ordered a Sound Blaster Audigy2 and am expecting it in a few days. I've heard that there were many issues (data corruption, instability, no POST) with the SB Live and Audigy1 cards when paired with KT133 motherboards.
