Winroute and 100Tx Network

Hi i just upgraded my network from 10 baset T to 100 base Tx using netgear cards and hub. The computer talk to eachother (2 win2k and 1 winme) the only prob is the second win2k machine will talk to the network very slowly.

network bridging

hmm im not 100% sure bridging is the correct term for what i want to do, but ill desribe. I have a 10 machine coax lan set up, and a 5 port hub with no coax connections. i will have 3 more machines connected to each other via the 5 port hub, and i can put a 2nd nic into my win2k machine which is cat5 based.

Home networking - Where to learn

HI, Want to setup a home network of 2 computers. One will be running Win2k, the other Win98/95 , both on fat32. Have anybody know of any web sites that will tell me how to do it etc. Will no doubt be going down the crossover cable route, but may eventually get access to a hub.

I'm having some trouble getting my lan working. I have collisions all over the place and no data being transferred between computers. Any help appreciated. My main goal is to get the computers to recognize each other and use Internet Connection Sharing with Win2k as the host for the connection.

performance monitor in NT4. 0 server is not loading counters. It is giving an error message COMPUTER WAS NOT FOUND In event viewer the message is Cannot read the performance database counter names, reason The data area passed to a system call is too small.

I recently got the new ZoneAlarm, and it's been asking me about certain system apps, and I'm wondering which ones to block, if any. LSASS. EXE seems to be using port isakmp, which, to my understanding, is some sort of security protocol.

Win98SE and Win95 ICS?? Help???

Hello, my apologies if this topic has been covered before. I am trying to connect a Win95 machine to a Win98SE machine to share an @home internet connection. All 3 NICs appear to be installed properly and working fine.

i have got internet connection sharing to work on my two computers that are networked ONCE but when i tried to do it again it seems that the other computer can't detect it. how can i get it to work? 2 Computers both have : Intel SE440BX2 Pentium III 700Mhz (100) LS-120 120 Mb (100MHz) Fujitsu 17.

Win2k ICS Help

I need to figure out how to get Roger Wilco working through my Win2k server. What I have done: 1) Gone into the ICS settings and added the settings for UDP port 3782-3783 and TCP port 3782. I can use Roger Wilco, can transmit and recieve but after like 10-15 minutes I can't recieve messages.

Cannot get IIS to work

Hi, I just installed IIS to host a ftp site at home. Basically, it is showing as not started, and when I try and start it, in the Internet Service Manager the message I get is The service did not start etc etc ina timely fashion.

Carmageddon 2: no networking?

I just picked up a copy of Carmageddon 2, and it runs fine, but the networking doesn't seem to work. When ever I host a game, it just says it is waiting for other players, and never goes anywhere. I can go back to the menu, but nothing ever happens.

OK I have tried taking NetBeui out of my protocals but when I do I cant access machines which are browsing the web using TCP/IP. My Win98 machines browse in a heartbeat!!! Any thoughts? Ned.
