lmhost.sam help!

Dredd
My Windows 2000 is having all kinds of slow up when trying to browse the network. I have tried deleting that key in the registry to speed it up, but it did nothing. I guess I need to import a lmhost file but I have no idea on how to do this.

Disconnecting VPN clients

jschorn
VPN clients who are logged in are being disconnected. I think its because of inactivity (they go and have dinner, come back and they're disconnected). Is there an autodisconnect feature I can turn off?.

Windows 9x & NT networking.

pjfuller
ARGH. . . . I had 2 windows 9x machines before this, i could share a printer, files or whatever with ease. I for some reason can't share files and printers correctly. I have TCP/IP install on machines, i know the network is functioning correctly, i can paste files from the win 98 machine to the an NT shared folder.

I was a Microsoft Fan until yesterday when I went in to build my new computer at my friend's computer shop. Here's basically what he told me. On all new microsoft applications you MUST register each time you install.

Network user access

Rudyatek
I have a Win98 system connected via ethernet to my main Win2k system, and I'm trying to find a way to give the other computer read-only access to my system's files. I enabled sharing for all my drives, and set the permissions to read-only (denying write and full access).

No problems with 2 NICs in NT4 on a P75?

thomas@nordichardware.com
Hehe, I want all the answers before I get the computer itself. . . I'm going to do it the easiest way: Internet connection (512 kbit. . . ) - 10 mbit network to P75 - 100 mbit network to Duron 1GHz. Is it possible to have 2 differect PCI-NICs in one computer? If so, I'll be happy!.
