Is there a command or service for the MMC or console (something similar to net view perhaps?) that would allow me to see which sessions are currently opened by my machine? (Note: Not the sessions users have opened under my shares)

On my server box (runnin Win2k Server) I have 2 NICs. One is for internal LAN and has File and printer sharing enabled. The other is for my cable modem. Tonight I got a weird ICQ and thought maybe someone was tryin to get my IP to hack me so I goto my server and do a netstat -an.

I have problem with DNs query. My Internet connection on workstation will work with NAt only if i force the workstation to use the dns server of My IPS. (it work if i enter the ip address of the web site) But if i do that, the workstation dont register on my own dns server.

with my cable modem i want to share the connection with another pc, i have 2 nic cards in the one wif cable modem and 1 nic in the client. i have tryed different proxy server software but not everything works, and ICS is crap and same not everything works.

Ive noticed that the tweakUI autologin doesnt work anymore in 248x if you put a password on the account. For example without a PW i login to my desktop auto, but once i put in a PW it says the PW i put in is invalid.

Well!!! My problem was (after reading, reading, and reading) with the DNS server. I have deleted it and reconfigure it with default setting and after, i was able to make group policy that affect users connecting to the server ))) by the way, i have found all the doc on technet.

Hi, I am having a problem sharing my files with my Win2k Server box. I want to be able share the files from the server (Win2k Advance Server) and to my WinME box. The Win2k box sees WinME's shared files, but I can't see any of shares of the server from WinME.

I was thinking that group policy are supposed to affect all users connecting to my server but it doesnt work. It is supposed to do that or it just affect the policy on the server??? I have read the dOc but they dont say alot of thing.

why does win2k automatically share my drives with SP2??

Ok, i've recently installed service pack 2 for Windows 2000, and found that it's shared all my drives. . so I turned them off. . now, i'm not on a network, I don't even have a network card in my PC, yet Windows 2000 in it's incredible wisdom, instantly re-shared the drives after a reboot.

hi I read what was posted in the message below about policy editing for NT 4. 0 server but i still need help. I've got win 2k server running with active directory and crap. on the server, i created a user named server and added him as a member of a group that i created so he can log onto the server locally.
