Hi, Since yesterday, I am facing a strange problem with my W2KS system- upon booting, for about 3-4 minutes, I can access internet and then it refuses to access the Internet. I can ping myself using my fixed IP cable address, but cannot ping default Gateway.
Someone run me through file sharing on two w2k boxes. Please

Hello. How are you? Good? That's great. I am running a peer to peer LAN at my place. Two Win2k boxes on a simple CAT5 crossover cable. The gateway machine has two NICS. What I need help in achieving is to get these two pc's to be able to use each others hard drives as a mapped network drive that is always available.

Why is it that when you try to access a hard drive on a Win2k machine through a win98 machine, it gives you this weird password crap that no one I know has been able to deal with? I've tried to figure this out, but I still haven't gotten anywhere farther.

I have a Win2k machine at the office and 4 Win Me machines on a network together. I have the guest account enabled on the Win2k machine and everyone can see and share files fine but no one can access the CD drives on the Win2k machine.

I'll be getting DSL this fall and I understand it works through standard phone lines. I do a lot of faxing using WinFax, and I was wondering if the 56k modems will still work through the DSL phone lines.

NT 4. 0 Server with approximately 100 9x clients. The print server is set up with only about 6 printers. . . mix of HP, Cannon, Xerox. . . All of a sudden, all users on the network when attempting to print to any of the printers receive a Unable to connect to \\prnsrv due to an unknown system error.

We are running IIS 4 and website was hammered this weekend. CPU was at most %75, but everything was really slow. We had 450 users on the machine at all times. So I need to know, does anyone know how many users would saturate a T1 line? I am trying to figure out if our bottleneck is the T1 line.

im running w2k pro on my comp in work, i log onto it with admin privs but can't use ftp, icq, morpheus etc, if i try and use these progs on any other machine in work, its fine, works straight away. Is there something blocking my ports on my computer alone, how could i tell? ta mad2moons.
