I have my network set up flawlessly under Windows ME - Windows ME under TCP/IP. I just recently installed XP (RC2) (upgraded my dual boot) and now I can't access other computers on the LAN. They can be pinged but not accessed.

OK, before anybody responds with, its a reset. exe problem, its not. I have not used any method of cracking activation on my installs, I used a 60 day activation key. Problem: I have 2 comps on a home LAN, one running WinMe, the other running a dual boot WinMe/XP(various attempts from RC1 to 2532).

i'm on a cable modem and i also have a domain name and DNS server. is there some way i can have my hostname show up as the host i specify say i own: domain. net the original box is what that is pointing to is there a way to have work.

I have bought a few products from Netgear only to find out they are pieces of sh1t and their drivers suck and don't work or barely work. The only advanted of some of their NICs is they are pretty fast, thats if you can get the damn things to work in the first place.

I want to open two connection between the two computers in my room. Each machine has 2 10mbps cards in it, one card from each is already part of the household domain. I want to increase the transfer speed the 2 comps, but can't find a second 100mbps card, so I'm using a 10/100 and a 10 for the second connection.

I've just recieved and installed WinXP RC1. Before that I was running Beta2. This WinXP Pro machine is connected to an AD Domain. Under Beta2 I simply installed the Server tools from a Win2k Server CD.

I have windows XP rc1 and that's not the first time i get this problem. When i try to share my pppoe connection with my lan network card (pc to pc without a hub) it says: Error 765: Internet connection sharing cannot be enabled.
