I am having the hardest time ever to get Windows Xp to work properly on our home network. The server is a Win2k box running an intel anypoint 10 mbps and cable connection. The client XP box has the same NIC, but if I install the intel anypoint software the entire OS dies on me.

I have 2 Exchange servers on two different LANs in two different states. I'd like to be able to connect the two Exchange servers to share resources between them. Each LAN has a static IP, so I was thinking VPN.

Hi Guys, I have been having this problem from yesterday. The collision led lights up if i transfer something on my network. The network speed is now very very slow. I tried chaning the network cards and the cables even.

IIS issue with different accounts

Running IIS on NT4 with service pack 4, and all the latest security patches. When I launch the IIS MMC and look at the websites and ftp sites they are all STOPPED and have lost their names. For example it looks like FTP Site #1 Stopped FTP Site #2 Stopped.

I am trying to run a FTP Server with IIS 5 and not having much fun. I need a few users to be able to have read and write access while the rest will just have read access. I can't figure out where I need to go to set it up so that this is possible.

Hi, I am setting up a file server for my dorm. it will be a P3 450 with 256MB 30GB. It will be running on an 8 port switch. All of the stuff is generic crap (except for the switch). But it will do its job.

Win 2000 and name resolving problems

Background: I have a small network at home. I just upgraded WinME to Win 2000 on one box while the other two computers both are WinMe. All three computers are running DHCP and we also have a DSL connection through a five port hub.

I have a problem. 1 computer cannot access it's mail. And for a reason I have yet to find. This is the error I get. . . I recently upgraded to Zone Alarm Pro 2. 6. 86. I am aware it has more security features.

ok. . . I have a webserver runnning. With PHP and a database. . . It is working fine. Except. . . every onces in a while if someone is accessing the website, it will get a BSOD and do a memory dump and say there was some sort of error with vsdatant.

A local ISP is offering 2. 4 GHz ISM band wireless broadband , and I was wondering if anyone knows some specifics**. I'm too far from the telco to get DSL, and AT&T Assband hasn't brought cable here yet, so I was looking for any broadband alternative to my 26.

Error message - reference a token?

I'm running Win 2000 Pro and was moving along just fine. I don't know what I did but now I'm getting really weird error messages when I try to start some services like ftp and web publishing. I also no longer have a web server because of this.

In attempting to setup a home network, my friend has come across this problem and I have no answer for him. Maybe someone can help us out. It seems that when he tries to access the server from the client all he sees there is IPC$ and not the shared folder he setup.

Secure Login

I am trying to setup Secure Login page on my IIS 3. 0 NT 4. 0 Server. (Similar to the initial login page on Outlook Web Access) in the fact that it uses the NT Domain Account data base for access. What would you suggest? ASP Login? I don't want to use NTFS Partition Permissions for authentication.
