program to know my external IP from a client computer

i got a small network with 2 computers. On my client computer i'm running an ftp server and sometimes i have to give my external IP to friends so they can access my FTP. Is there any way i can see my external IP from the client, instead of running to the server an typing ipconfig? thanks.

ADSL Speed Touch USB - BT Internet ! I Need Help!

Hi there, Ok, as u might have guessed i have BT internet with a Alcatel Speed Touch USB Modem. When the machine boots up, the modem diagnostics icon in my task bar goes green, which means everything is working fine.

Hi, I have a little problem with my modem connection. In my previous os which was Win Me I was able to uncheck the option responsible for registering to network (what was totally useless, because it only wasted some time) in dial-up settings, but in XP I cannot find this option.

I am behind a Linksys 4 port Cable/DSL Router and I'd like to be able to send and receive files using AIM/ICQ/MSN. Does anyone know of a way of doing thins WITHOUT making my machine the DMZ Host. I'd like to know what ports they try to use.

Network without available PCI slot?

I want to network two computer, though one doesn't have any free PCI slots, hence can't install quik-fix network card. What options do i have? I was thinking USB networking, I mean it is fast enough, though i haven't seen networks set up in this way.

I have a ftp server with a static IP adress. I would like to have an adress for it instead of giving out my ip adress to my users. I dont care if it I dont want to use the dynamic dns services that are aroung cause the I need to run a client software on my server and I have some bad experiences of them.

ISA Server - FTP not working

I have gone through all the stuff in this book here and I can't find out why my FTP server wont work! HELP PLEASE! I get this error when trying to access it over the browser: HTTP 502 Proxy Error - The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) session was terminated.

Here's the situation. Our company for some time had been assigning static IP's to W98 workstations. As our company grew, maintaining this information became cumbersome, so we went with DHCP to assign all the network information to the workstations.

I heard that every time you connect to the internet that win xp sends all your system info i. e cracked software,etc. . also i heard that if your running the corp win xp,(no product activation) the one thats *****ed all over the internet,that microsoft will know and your busted!! is true??? or is it more microsoft b.
