LAN party for kids ??

Dirty Harry
Anyone know of any multiplayer games that are playable over a LAN and still somewhat suitable for 5 to 10 year old kids ? Quake & the gang are just fine, but perhaps not what you want to give to children.

Need some help...

evil Homer
Right, hope there are some networking spets in here, because this one has me perplexed. At home I have a very small 2 computer network, sharing a cable internet connection. The Server connects to the net via a NIC connected to a Motorola SB4100 Cable Modem.

XP Home Edition and NT Networks

Blizaine
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I can't seem to find an answer. As everyone knows, in Win98/ME you can install Client for Microsoft Networks so you can log onto an NT domain. Likewise, you can install Client for NetWare, for NOVEL networks, if needed.

Slow XP>win98 transfers FIXED!

robbie
Thanks to RhinoTrip & Deadcat who both found solutions: This one works; I just proved it. On the pc running XP, log in as you normally would, go to users, manage network passwords. Here is where the problem lies.

HELLBRINGER
I think my PDC (Primary Domain Controller) computer is resetting all my clocks. It is an hour off. And I will go change it back (this is on workstations) and it flips back a min later or so. . . WTF!? So I got to my PDC server and the time is an hour off.

Possible solution to some WinXP-WinXP networking

Medieval__
For the life of me I tried most things, I couldn't get it to work. My setup is cable modem>hub>2 comps (XP network wizard doesn't suggest this but that's how I do it since I get multiple free ips and I like each comp being independent) Anyhoo, to my dismay I could not get WinXP and WinXP to network much (occa ...
