on my notebook pc, i use my Admin account at home. I am not connected to any network when i'm in school, i logon to the school domain using some other username and password how do i make them share the same settings? When i install some app with the admin account, i need to reconfigure the app in school.

Thanks for the info. Personally I use when I want to bypass a firewall. This one seems interesting though in that it seems to create a network of host machines. .

I have read messages after messages, in this forum, regarding all the tweaks and hacks you guy are doing to get your systems networked. This has got to be totally un-necassary because my network was working flawlessly at one stage.

I got 2 computers in a small network, both are running windows xp. Simple file sharing is ticked off on both machines. on each machine there is a harddrive that is shared, default is everyone has acces, and i leave it that way.

Hello. I was using a 3COM905B in my Win2K machine without problems. I added a 2nd NIC (3COM900B) & started my machine. Now I only see the newer NIC (as Local Area Connection 2) & my original NIC (formerly Local Area Connection 1) is gone (not showing in network properties).
