Need info on Network Problem please help.TIA

ok_interested
Hi there i have a home network setup through my router that was working just fine. the only problem was that the computers on my network had only 10mbs network cards in them ( 3com and SMC ). and sending stuff over a 10 mbs sec network took too long to transfer GB's of data over so i recently put in a 10/100mbs car ...

NT 4.0 and XP printer sharing with HP6L

Scott Bishop
We have an HP6L connected to an XP machine and all the 98 machines will print to it. However the NT machine will not connect. If the printer is connected to the NT machines all 98 machines will print to it but the XP machines will not.

Newer tcp-driver for DOS ?

Toby
Anyone know if there is a newer tcpdrv. dos to get somewhere? The version on the NT4 ServerCD for making net-bootdisks does not work with our new fileserver It's a Win2k cluster with Gb-NICs and when restoring Ghost-images from this server to the workstations it always ends up with an errormessage after 20-50%.

Computer Group Policies Not Working

izaher
We are running Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain in Native Mode. We use group policies for central administration. Our Windows 2000 Professional clients do not have any problems. All of the policies get applied successfully.

NT locks up when browsed with XP

Asher
HELP. This problem shouldn't happen, but it does. I have two NT machines running our network (NT 4. 0 SP 5 or 6, I forget. ) Most client machines are 98SE. I installed XP on my machine. When I browse our network drives, and quickly jump from folder to folder, I can actually lock up the server.

Cable Modem Problemo

LavaLamp27
I am sad :-(. My laptop works fine with my cable modem but my main computer does not. It has 2 3com network cards in it and both seemed to have died. I know the cable modem and connection are working fine but the cards don't seem to want to grab their new IP address.

Single Laptop, NT and Novell Networks

clutch
I am looking to have a laptop boot into both our NT domain (soon to be AD) and a Novell 5 forest (the unit's homesite). Anybody have some insight on this? I know we can dual boot, but I would rather not complicate this any further than necessary (2 system partitions and a storage partition, licensing, etc).

Ok, I have cable internet shared through my computer, with 4 computers on the network (all running XP pro). We seem to be having DNS issues with the clients on my network. . . . The computers can all ping and browse by IP just fine.

IIS FTP server information

DSC_Zer0
Is there any kind of a GUI or Console based application that will tell me information about my ftp server? Such as who is connected, what they are downloading, and speed of the transfer. I'd like to stick with IIS FTP and not switch to another Server.

need help and suggestions

thymios
I have a cable modem that connects me to the internet. I am planing to buy a hub in order to connect 3 computers together and share the internet connection. I know that an easy way was to create a network with BNC cables, but two of the computers are laptops and their PCMCIA cards take only UTP cables.
