Questions probably don't get any more newbie than this but, please try to bare with me. I'm using win2k pro NT, and all of a sudden my password will not work. I have an Admin password that works just fine as well as another general user (not sure of the proper term) password/login that also works just fine.

Ok here goes, I have two computers in a simple peer-to-peer; Desktop and Laptop, Desktop dual boots between Windows 2000 (yeah!) and Windows XP Professional (boo!), Laptop only has Windows XP Professional (boo!).

I can ping NT Comp either by IP or DNS name, and all replies return just fine. I can also get to any other site on the interent. I have flushed DNS on every machine on the network, to no avail. So why did my network stop liking NT Comp ?? Please help!! ThanX in advance.

Have WinNT4 server w/Win2k clients. All have roaming profiles set up the same way on their local machine and on the server. Two of them get the message Cannot update roaming profile when they log off.

We are trying to connect two computers in different towns to each other for networking. We have our server running windows 2000 and our workstation running *gulp* Windows ME. When the computer using ME dials into the server and connects, I have no access to the network.

Ok, probably an easy fix to this, but I sure as hell don't know what it is. My local domain is lotl. lan. All of my clients log-in to lotl. lan, or the Netbios name of LOTL. Also, I'm hosting with IIS from here, on a second server here within our lan.
