How can I connect to the Internet through the LAN, when one Computer of the Network is connectet via an ISDN - Dial - Up Adapter to an ISP? I've two Computers, but only one has a Modem. But I want to surf the net on both Computers.
ICS Under Win2K doesnt work, help!

Hi There, I have my modem on my laptop, and I usually use the ICS in order to surf on my desktop. but for 2 days now, after I did a win2k installation from scratch I am unable to enable the ICS on my Win2KPro machine.

The IS department at my school requires us to have are name listed in the computer description on the network if we share files in network neighborhood. Setting this in windows 98 or NT is no problem, but i, nor anyone in the IS department can figure out where to set it in 2000.

Hello everyone, This is more of an annoyance than a serious problem. I installed W2K Pro on a workstation that is connected to the internet through the Linksys EtherFast router (which is connected via cable modem; works FLAWLESSLY).

Hi all, there is something I don't understand, and it's how Windows 2000 want to use the DNS. In my workplace there is a central DNS, on a UNIX server, capable of dynamic updates (and we've enabled them).

I have a Wireless network running. Here is the setup: Desktop= Windows 2000 Laptop = Window ME Both the Laptop and the Desktop can see each other. The desktop can access the Laptops shared folders but when I try and access the Desktops shared folders from the Laptop I get this message \\Desktop is not accessible.

I've just done a clean install of NT4, and can succesfully install the network card and see other computers in the Workgroup, but as soon as I install SP6a I can't see any workgroups at all. After clicking through the 'Entire Network' icon, I can reach the local workgroup, but nothing is in it.

Ok, here's the deal here in our Corporate Office we are currently in the process of migrating from NT4 to 2K Server. . . . . but recently one of our regional offices has been recieving a system error on two of there client machines that are connected to a 2K Server.

I have a NT 4. 0 server, I have setup dhcp and it works without any problems, except the clients can't ftp or telnet outside our domain. What is causing this i have setup up dns and gateway under the dhcp manager and still no luck.

I bought a new NetGear 10/100 FA310TX PCI NIC card, and now it won't work in Windows 2000??? When I plugged the card in for the first time, windows found it and installed the drivers, but I can't seem to find anyone over the workgroup no matter what I do.
