XP doesn allow me to acces my com port?! :(

i am trying to get the irmate 210 from tekram to work with irman for winamp, but every time i try to setup the irman í get the error message that says that windows is not allowing me to acces the com port on wich the ir device is connected.

WinDVD Issues in Win2K

I use an early version of WinDVD 1. 2. something (Came as bundled sofware with MY SB-Live Card). Works like a charm in Win98/ME but in 2000, it simply doesn't allow you to change Brightness/Gamma settings etc.

I had some trouble burning a Win2k SP2 CD with Cdrwin lately. Every time I press start to burn a cd or to write an iso image the program just quits, it doesn't even give an error message. I tried versions 3.

I've suddenly had problems with Windows update since installing SP2. The updates download fine, but just will not install. No error is given, it just says that the updates were not installed. A search on MS site has yielded squat.

Today I recieved two copies of the New Email Worm Sircam in my inbox, I have Norton set to scan all emails as they come in, but it never picked up this file I also tried it on newsgroups with messages that reposrts said had viruses in them they never stopped it downloading the file.

Hi guys, I am kinda having a problem with my WinDVD 3. 0 program. My problem is that I can't use autoplay feature from WinDVD. What happens is that whenever I insert a DVD movie, I get this dialog box from Win2k: Desktop: Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.

Geforce2 GTS S-Video Out Problem

Hi I have a Geforce2 GTS made by a little know company called Mentor (you can see the card at this link - ;;288) The card supports S-Video out. When I first installed the card under Windows 2000 Pro(SP2) the card performed perfectly and the Nvidia control panel app told me that the card had a Brooktree encoder onboard.

Capture problems with ATI's mmc 7.1: No Audio

Ok, I have XP rc1 with the 3224 drivers (and man its been a fight from word go) I finally can capture video under mmc 7. 1, but now there is no audio. When I go to edit best quality capture there is no audio choices.
