Dear all My OS is Windows 2000 Professional(SP2),I use Borland C++ 5. 01 and always see a mseeage bcw. exe is error ,windows will close this program. . . ,I have tried as many ways as I can to slove ,but this problem is still exists.

Why should 'Services & Controller App' access the Web?

I run Win2K SP2, With Zonealarm 2. 6. 231 (Free version) Every once in a while Services and Controller App wants to access the internet. Sometimes i allow it, some times i don't, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I Just Love Hibernate

I have been using Win2K now since the beginning of this year on Dell V400 PentiumII 400mhz, 128mb ram, 8mb AGP ATI Rage. It really is a great operating system, and i'd just like to say that Hibernate is the best thing in Win2k, i will usually leave 6-10 apps all the time and just hibernate, then boot up in around 1 ...

I just purchased a Seasound Solo Ex hard disk recorder for my computer yesterday, which will allow me to record CD quality music on my computer. It consists of a breakout box with preamps and inputs for my instruments and it also comes with software and a PCI card.

This is weird. It's not frequent, and I can figure out what I do to start it, and it's been doing it only in the past month or so. It's BSOD'd me before firing up UT, IE, or trying to play a media file.

Dammaged fonts... annoying in the extreme

Well it might not be damaged fonts but win2k (w/ sp2) is not loading all my fonts. the standard windows fonts. the fonts that windows uses instead are small and almost unledgible. This is the worst in IE.

Hi Guys, I just want to know how can I disable Windows Product Activation. How can I remove it from Startup I mean , so that it doesn't remind me of activating again and again. I found it somewhere that you can use regsvr32 /u /s.

Anybody know which Antivirus program work with Windows XP? I just tried installing Norton Antivirus 2001 and I am getting a message saying it is not compatible with Windows XP. .

Since 'upgrading' to Internet Explorer 5. 5 SP2, it seems I can no longer use Micro$oft's Windows Update service - When I go to the Windows Update web site and click on any of the 'Product Updates' links, I instantly get the following message: A runtime error has occurred.

Internet Sharing in Win2K Server problem!!!

Hi guys!, I just want to know what happen to my internet sharing in win2k. Actually, in our office we have 2 servers, 1 using NT4 and 1 win2K server. The NT4 was connected to our ISP using a wireless internet connections and the win2K is not.

When I run checkdisk after rebooting in win2k, i can never tell if i have bad sectors on my hd. Is there another way to scan my hd for bad sectiors? I have a feeling I have a bad drive. .

Great, just great. Here I hold off upgrading IE 5. 5 with SP2 for a few weeks because something is so often wrong with MS upgrades. Anyhow I just did it tonight as I hadn't heard about any probs and half an hour later I look at NT comp main page and find that the stupid SP2 shuts off Quick Time.

anyone using Pcanywhere 10?

When i install it and reboot, win2k boots in standard vga mode. When i uninstall pcanywhere and reboot, the colors are normal again. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Ohw, i checked the compatibility database on this site and couldn't find an entry about PCanywhere 10, only about 9.

Hello all. I just installed Windows XP Evaluation Copy Build 2505 to check out XP. So far everything is great. Actually, I like XP better than Win2k. I have a small problem. I can't view some Divx movies and I can view some Divx movies perfectly fine.

I am an administrator in a college. We recently upgraded to NT5 and are having a few permission problems not seen in NT4. For ex: Visual Studio, PeachTree, and Quickbooks need to be installed as administrator (this is normal), but the user has to be a power user to use.

Well yes, it's a very easy question for you guys. How do I copy a folder in DOS that has also more directories inside of it? When I try copy *. * it only copies files, but not folders. What is the answer? Thanks!.
