Hello there. . . . Is is possible to create user that is not shown in Welcome screen? I mean I need a user (my brother) who is accessing my computer only remotely (or by FTP) and so I don't need him to be on my 'Welcome screen user list'.

When i doubleclick the Setup. exe, the install starts, but it won't go further than to the splashscreen, i've tried to run it in Compability mode, don't work either.

I'm running Win2k, and I'm having problems accessing some hardware when I login as a Power User. If I run Nero 5. 5, or Sound Forge/CD Architect, I can't access my Yamaha CD-burner in those programs.

It is possible to have two boot hard drive. Example I have win2000 on my hard drive. trying to install win98 also on the same hard disk. Would that works? I need window98 because of dos program for my education, How do I do that.

Remove backed up service pack files??

I installed sp2 a while ago with the option to back up the replaced files. Now i would like to remove those files as they're taking space for nothing. Where are they located? And how do i remove the uninstall SP2 option in control panel?? Thanks.

OK, I just got Vis Studio. NET Beta 2 from Visual Studio Magazine, and I installed it. However, while it can find my. sln files and try to open an existing solution, it tells me that I don't have any programs assigned to open.

So I heard that MS put a unique ID in the final RTM build of Windows XP. Now my question is: Why would you put a unique id in a CD that is mass-copied? isn't that what the RTM copy is? I'm quite confused.

File Sharing Manager For 2K

Just wondering if anyone new of a file sharing proggy for Win2k. I need to open up the guest account and share files. No problem here, but I would also like to password some of these shared files. I know it can be done by creating diff user accounts but just wondered if there was a simpler program.
