Windows 2000 i really cant find anything bad with it, the most annoying problem i have, if it can be called a problem is the open and save boxes in office 2000 using low colour icons, does anyone know how to fix that?

Win2000 Final + SBLive + WinOnCD 3.7 not starting up

If you can't get your WinOnCD 3. 7 start up then read this! Today I noticed some new LiveWare 3 installations instruction and I downloaded and tried to install it again (I tried it over and over with the old instruction and it was never working for me).

I was playing Planescape Torment yesterday, and all of a sudden I got a blue screen with Machine Check Exception error. I tried again and after about 10 minutes of playing, same error. Then I tried playing the SIMS, and I got about 15 minutes in and same error.

Nero 4.0.8.3 Works, but doesn't work

Ok, here's the deal, when I had the previous version of Nero, I installed it, and when I rebooted, got the nerocdnt. sys error, so I just removed the file, rebooted and all went. I went to use the program, everything went perfect.

Can anyone help me? i instaled Win2k 2195 Final pro, Instaled all my apps in it (Photoshop 5. 5, Ilustrator 8, Acrobat 4, Corel 9, Office 2000, PageMaker 6. 52). Next instaled drivers for printers - Linotronic 330, 530, HP Laserjet 4V/Mv, HP DeskJet 895C.

This is a silly question but I am going to format my primary drive to NTFS. Is there anything I should know about before making this plunge? The command I will do is Format C: /FS:NTFS /A:4096 Is this correct? Or do I need to add anything else with this command?.

i'm using win2k final for over a month and i must say that i'm impressed w/ its stability, ease of use and speed. So I don't quite understand M$ policy to say W2K is a business OS and not everybodys's OS, and furthermore why to produce Millenium (such a stupid name in my opinion that only confusion can bring Win2K ...

Okay mainly im trying to create a new partition off of new space on my NTFS main partition, which uses all of my free space, to create another partition with fat32 to install windows 98 on so i can dual boot to either OS when i need to.

Ok, I have win2k pro, and boy O boy is it nutty, one thing is I can't run alot of the apps that this site says has been tested, I believe the site, so I'm trying to figure what is it with my system. Its funny becuase if I should do a new install It'll run the apps I can't run on my other install.

I have a win2k/win98se dual boot config. Can the 2 os share an installation of an application? Let me explain. I have Office 2000 installed in my win98se. Can just I install it in Win2k to the same location or will this mess up my 98 installation? The drive I want to intall to is visible to both installations.

ICQ 99b and Internet Connection Sharing

Here is a problem maybe you can help us all with. I am running ICQ 99b on a computer which is connecting to the Win2K box therefore getting Internet from the Win2K box. My ICQ on that computer is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to the ICQ network.

I have a 20gig HD partitioned into a 15 and a 5 the 5 is an NTFS formatted under win2k how can i merge the 15 (which is a FAT32) with the 5 gig NTFS formatted under win2k partition?

Intellipont 3.1 dicked up my system

I installed the index service patch and installed Intellipoint 3. 1 on my Win2k Advanced Server system. It dicked my computer up good. I keep getting Blue Screen Page Faults. It tells me that there is a problem with a device.

Okay, there seems to be some mixed feelings on whether or not this thing works. In the text below, someone mentioned a Win2k compatibility patch. . . I looked, and I swear I couldn't find one. I tried installing the update to DirectCD, but it said it was already up-to-date.

Say not that this is a true huge problem, but it does bug the hell out of me. See I can not copy the contents of a ICQ. (you know left click highlight txt) I am useing ICQ99a build 3. 19 #2569 anyone haveing the same trouble?.
