cdrwin 3.8a and windows 2000

i installed it and when i go to open it i get this err Error: Unable to initlialize the ASPI manager ASPI manager was not found on system ???

Hiya guys. . . I have win 2000 installed and i am using Norton Antivirus 7. 0 Corporate Edition. . . and when it loads up it sometimes has a little exclamation mark over the icon for a while in the sys tray.

Toasted my NT Server

File this one under the dumb move category. So im cleaning up my HD so I can format then install Win2k, And I deleted the backoffice components from the HD. I also installed Win98SE after that. Now when I try to get into NT Server it gets past the logon screen then just freezes up.

Basic Disk vs Dynamic Disk

Under the Disk Management, we can convert from basic disk to Dynamic disk. What is the benefit of doing so other than having more than 4 partition?.

Please assist. . . About 10-20% of the time that I try to install a program, I get the following dialog (title bar is 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library'): Error: MSVCRT. DLL is not compatible with Win32s.

Hey everyone, There are a ton of programs and driver installations that should work fine in Win2k, if they would just STOP checking the Windows version and dismissing Win2k just like they would BeOS or a Dos.

Event log errors, anyone?

I have one or two messages appearing in the application event log whenever I boot the machine: Source: WinMgmt WMI ADAP was unable to load the winspool. drv performance library due to an unknown problem within the library: 0x0 I've only just recently got this one but its recurring.

My apologies for posting a topic not related to applications under Windows 2000 or NT4. But this is something that I am truly interested in finding other opinions on. Microsoft has come under a lot of fire lately for taking business actions that hinder other companies from competing.

When I boot Win2k wants to be installed

Under Win98 I started the Win2k installation proces. it copied some files and rebooted. During boot it started the installation proces under DOS. I had to choose a partition to install, but I forgot to turn on that option before rebooting from Win98.

USB to Ethernet w/ Win2k

Hello, I am trying to use my ADS USB to Ethernet card on Windows 2000 Pro. and when I put the drivers in I get an error message saying The INF file did not match the once it expected. I tried the drivers that came with it, and the new ones (acually old) that were on the site.

Dual boot between Win2K & 98 doesn't work anymore

Hi, I installed Win2K Pro about a week ago on top of Win98. I made another partition for Win2K and everything was working fine until an hour ago. I tried to boot to Win98 from the BOOTMENU, however, after I press ENTER from the menu, I got SYSTEM FILES NOT FOUND, REPLACE THE DISK AND CONTINUE.

Start-menu Messed up

Can anyone explain why the start-menu gets messed up with arrows and fields that is reachable only when I press the arrow? And I have to press the arrow to view the lighter fields. I feel that it has to do about last time I accessed the file, but I am not sure.

Win2k shutdown/restart problems

Hi i have a bit of an annoying problem, sometimes when i want to restart windows or shut it down it wont. I press the shutdown button and it closes all progs (all the icons in my system tray are gone) and then just does nothing.

Palm Desktop Question

I am using Palm Desktop 3. 0. 3 in win2k final. It work fine except for the most part. However, when viewing the address list I used to be able to (in win 98) select a group of name and drag them on to an Excel or Word icon and they would be imported.
