What a Load of Crap I just read on the motherpage, no more full windows disks are being shipped with New Computers. . . . . makes me want to vomit, now they ship you a recovery Disk or offer a Hard Drive Based recovery solution.

I encrypted all my personal files on my computer. . . just cuz it made me feel all warm and snuggly. Well, I had to reinstall Windows 2000 yesterday, meaning I re-formatted. . . . the whole shabang. I didn't think to unencrypt, or save my key.

I know of the problems with installeing the Umax driver for NT in that it only works if you are logged in as administrator. But we had it working before the machine got trashed recently. Whats the solution?.

Ok, I was under the impression that all the next operating systems from Microsoft (2k,Me,neptune) were all gonna be based on the NT kernal. Well, I just read a review on Windows Millenium and it said that it was still based on DOS.

i have-300mmx amd-k\6,160 ram, matrox g200 sd/pci 8 meg,usb,ext aol-dsl modem,etc clutch or anyone else this is my nt update: i loaded nt on a 4 gig h-drive,results: 1-it will only load aol 3. o(bad).

Win2k & Win Me - No hibernation

I have a dual boot win2k 2195 / win me 2491 I recently install Media player 7 beta on my sys under win me and then pretty soon after i uninstalled it. Now I can not hibernate either OS. Is there a way to fix this with out the dreaded reinstall all.

i have a 300mmx amd k6-3/d, 160 ram. i'm using my win98 bootup disk with cd rom drivers to get too where i can load nt. doesen't work. i formated the harddrive and added system files,still won't install.

hi all, i want to clean install win2k on a single partition ©, usinf NTFS file format. What i need to know is if win2k fuc** up, can I just reboot to DOS and use the good old FORMAT C: dos command to wipe everything like in win95/8 etc?? I.
