Access to files on my computer via my LAN.

I love Win2k, been using it since the early days. It marked my switch to the NT kernal, and I will never go back. It is a beautiful OS. Anyways, one thing I havn't figured out is this: I am on a LAN at school and using Win9x I was easily able to share folders over the network neighborhood.

I was just wondering if any of you guys out there can recommend a internet filtering package for NT servers? Preferably designed for MS Proxy server, or is familiar with Backoffice 4. 0 or 4. 5. If any of you guys have something to say, Id apprecaite any information.

Liveware 3.0 doesn't work

hi ! I'm surprised to see you all did not have special problems with liveware 3. 0 on w2k. After installing it, i can't access the speaker and mixer panel, do u have an idea?.

IE 5.01 lock up & high CPU usage

For as long as I've been running Win2k Pro, sometimes after using IE 5. 01 for a while the browser will lock up and the CPU usage will be stuck around 55% or so until I close the window, which it then says is not responding.

IE 5.5 and Norton AV 2k! Incompatible?

I have NAV2k running on my Win2k rig, so I decided to install IE 5. 5 Now I get crashes and event log errors from IE 5. 5. Uninstall IE and everything is fine. I reinstalled over the weekend, put IE 5.

Media Player DLL Errors

Ugh, First off i had Windows ME on my system with the latest beta of wmp 7, which i then upgraded the OS to w2k. Everything went smoothly except wmp7 always gave me the dll error The application or DLL c:\windows\system32\msdmo.

Diskeeper 5 problem

When i do a boot time defrag as it gets to 66% of checking partion data it comes up with this (skipping due to multiple data streams or something its only just started doing this can anyone help? then it just boots into win2000 without doing the scheduled defrag.

I need to make a copy of a Windows 2000 ADv Svr NTFS hard drive, that is 6. 4 GB in size. I need to copy it to a 30. 0 GB hard drive, but I need to keep a single partition and be able to boot off of the new 30.

VERY puzzling problem w/ Adaptec ECDC

Would anyone know why I can burn to CDRW but not to CDR? I've tried at least 6 different brands of CDR, and get the same errors with all of them. I get buffer underrun, power calibration area errors, and the like.

Does anyone know how to rip a CD in MP3 format at 64k/44khz? When you select 64k in MusicMatch it automatically goes to 22khz. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Hi, Damn , I waited enough for that LiveWave and now it gives me lotta problems! I did a CLEAN install for Windows 2000 Pro. Installed the LiveWare 3. 0 and it seems to be going okay. Computer got rebooted.
