The best Defrag-Program?!

What do you think is the best Defrag-Program for Win2K? Is it the implemented Diskkeeper (in Win2K), SpeedDisk (Part of Norton Utilities 2001), the original Diskkeeper or an other program? Disk Cleanup

Ok, After the NT4/Win2000 debacle I am on a roll here, might as well get it out of my system (no PC puns included) But, hell, Windows 2000 runs beautifully on my system but for the life of me i cannot come to terms with the 'disk cleanup' utility.

Can't Install ANYTHING!!

whenevery trying to install anything using a setup. exe program- i get the error message: MSVCRT. DLL for Win32 Error: MSVCRT. DLL is not compatilble with win32s THEN The application failed to initialize properly (0xc)000142).

Trashy right click menu ?!

Uninstalled Cute FTP & my Right Click menu still has the option to 'Edit with Cute HTML'. My default HTML editor is another program; how the heck do I delete trash entries from my Right Click menu ?! This reminds me of Adobe GoLive 4's tendency to remain in the right-click menu after uninstallation.

I have a fully working Win2k setup. Everything appears to be working fine, I'm having no problems to speak of etc. Having a quick browse through the event logs a few are appearing after any boot. As I said they don't seem to be causing any problems, but it would be nice to get rid of the damn things! OK, here they ...

When you download a file with Internet Explorer. . . and you specify the directory you want to save it to. . . why doesn't it save it directly to that directory? Instead it downloads it to some mysterious place on my hard drive (if anybody knows where,please tell me!) and then it copies the file over to the directo ...

Office 2000 SP2

I have a partial Office 2000 installation (Access, Excel, FrontPage) on my notebook running under Windows 2000 Professional, SP1. I noted on the top page of ntcompatible today that SP2 (Note that it's not SR-2, it's SP2) for Office 2000 has been released.

For gaming. . . well, i have tried that, and 3 of my games, i need to reinstall to work under the poweruser account. pretty dumbif you ask me. I figured the registry would have transfered to the new account.

While trying to defrag Win2k Pro with it's native defrag program, I get this message when i click on Analyze Application popup: DfrgNtfs. exe - Application Error : The instruction at 0x0100c8e1 referenced memory at 0x115e8132.

IE 5.5 Crashing Like a Mofo in W2K SP1

I have been getting this recurring error message from Internet Explorer recently saying, IEXPLORE. EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. I can get it anytime.

Just wondering what the general concensus of SP1 is with you lot. I dl'ed it when it first came out, but I read a lot of bad reports. Now, I feel the time has come for me to install it. From your experiences, is it best to install it straight away afetr an install, or is it ok just to install it over what you have.

Nortons Internet Security 2.5 and ICQ problems

I loaed Nortons last nite and then tried to use ICQ, I couldnt connect, I bounced between several accounts, finally one worked, and then later I eventually got into all of them but, when I tried to return to my accounts after dis-connecting, no luck.

Hey Hey Guys : Well i am running Win2k Prof and it so nice. But the thing is that i have a small problem which that i get the Blue Screen (Memory Sumping) if i left my Computer ON for a Long time.
