Norton Utilities 2001 for Win2k

Hello everybody, i was just wondering if anyone has installed/used Norton Utilities 2001 on win 2000 pro. Does it offer any significant system improvemnts, like better disk defragmenter or elimintaion of problems?In a few words does it worth to be installed or it's just a h***le.

where has "msconfig" gone?

HELP ME!!!

My computer was freezing so I set the video acceleration slider in the advanced section of the display properties to the very lowest. After doing this I realized Direct x was disabled so I decided to rise it up somewhere in the middle.

Microsoft GPS add-on

I can't run the Microsoft GPS Add-on application on my laptop running Windows2000. During setup the COM ports are not reported in the pop up window. Therefore Microsoft Autoroute (European version of MS AutoMap) cannot connect to the GPS.

NT4.0 Domain Controller and Win 2000?

Hi everyone, Our company is running NT 4. 0 as Domain Controller and I'm running Windows 2000 Pro on my desktop. If I let my PC to join the Domain, I can't control my PC (insufficient rights). However, I've added myself in the Administrators group in the Domain.

Mail server program for a small network??

HI, I have a small network at home comprising of a PC acting as a server (running Win98SE) with a cable modem as internet access, plus also connected to a hub. This PC is then connected via the hub to 2 other PC.

ok here it goes, i just bought a logitech pilot (the new model @ no. . i put it in the usb port uninstalled and then installed the drivers (9. 0) every so often it hangs so i think what the heck, ill try the ps2 port.

Anyone know if this application works in W2k? My mom wants this for X-mas. . . . but I don't like buying (new) software(and hardware) that won't work with the NT Windows (NT, W2K, Whistler). . . Especially since i'll be upgrading their PC within a few months.

I have some problem with a disk. In 2k it says it isnt formatted but when I run a 98 start disk and run scandisk it finds a hole lot of errors, I relly need to get a hold of this files. Are there any recovery tools for win2k that I can use because when I run scandisk for dos (dont got 98) I have to click thruu like ...

Load Balancing, Terminal Servers, Virtual IP, Broadcast Pack

Situation: 4 Terminal Servers Each pair doing virtual IP. Each sending out a 15k broadcast packet every second. TCP/IP is the protocol being used, so no NetBeui (which uses Broadcast packets). I need to get these 15k packets stopped! How do I do this? Anybody have any documentation?.

Ping error 65 - What is it and How to fix??

HI, Finally took the plung and did a fresh install of Win2k. Great. no problem initially, got connected to the net, installed my major software i. e Firewall etc. BUT all of a sudden I cannot retrieve data from the net, connect OK but not get any info.

I seem to have misplaced my 2000 install, and it is hiding from me very well. And I only need it for that one file: apcompat. exe. And I cant find it _anywhere_. Is there anyway I can get someone to email it to me, or post it? Email: i_am_ed@zdnetmail.
