Removing ICQ 2000b SMS Button

Anyone know of a way to permanetly remove the annoying SMS button at the top of the ICQ 2000b window? I removed the Partner folder in the ICQ 2000 dir and the button didn't show up the next time I restarted ICQ but I checked the ICQ dir a minute later and it had recreated the Partner folder and the next time I rest ...

1 key instead of the 3 finger salute

some time ago i read that you can make a shortcut to the 'minimize all' icon, modify it, and then youd be able to make it whatever you wanted to, amongst other things binding a key to ctrl+alt+del. How do i do this?.

MSN Messenger & ICS

I have two computer with ICS enabled on Win2k Pro(1st computer). Everything works fine on both computer. But MSN or Netmeeting doesn't work well on the client computer. Internet works but when somebody calls on netmeeting or msn messnger, it doens't work.

Hi I do a lot of work in AutoCad, and i am sick and tired of Windows 98 BSOD's at critical moments. I am thinking of upgrading my workstation OS but my questions is, which is the best OS for my system.

Dial up Networking problem

Guys Im having a problem with my dial up networking. The problem is two fold. One problem is when I dial up the internet all works fine but when i disconnect it takes like 10-15 secs for the dial up status to go away.

Password incorrect

I have my dial up in my startup folder for my bellsouth ADSl connection. Under win2k when i hit save pw its saving something other than the pw I have typed. I even tried a couple times typing it in. than hitting save.

I am running a dual boot system consisting of win98se and win2k until my new soundcard gets here which will be win2k compatiable. My turtle beach montego 2 card is pos cause it makes windows 2k freeze but ohwell.

IE keeps crashing

i am using IE5. 5 with win2k SP1 and whenever i try to reply to a message on my hotmail account the browser just crashes and windows say iexplorer. exe has caused errors. . . so to reply to the message i must switch to Netscape 6 which takes a lot longer to open than IE.

Remote Administration on 2k?

Is there a way to remotly control task manager? For instance if I run a app that completly locks my system, even from ctrl-alt-delete I wanna be able to go to my other system, get into task manager on the system thats locked up, and terminate the app.

why does my trash can empty so sloooowwww?

ever since i put in a 30G hard drive my recycle bin takes forever to empty, even if it is one 1k file or a hundred 3M files. When i click empty recycle bin it takes about 15 seconds to empty when it used to take about 2 seconds with my 7G drive.

IIS - Inetpub/wwwroot on 2 partitions?

Hello: I was wondering how to make the Inetpub/wwwroot directories (and all the server extensions available on 2 partitions. I currently have IIS installed in C, but due to space limitations, I would like to publish my webs in my E partition.
