ALERT! Cover previously removed...

Working with W2K, Dell Optiplex GX200. After taking the cover off(and seating back properly), during boot-up process the message: ALERT! Cover Previously Removed is displayed for several seconds. Does anyone know how to ELIMINATE this message? P.

ie 5.5 annoying little problem

here is a problem i have know idea why it occurs,when i'm in outlook express and i click on a link in a e-mail the window opens starts to load the page and then dissapears. now here is the kicker,if i open internet explorer and then click on the link the window stays open and loads.

While I'm at it!!! Compatibility Layers are broken too!

The recent Application Compatibility Update has also been partly broken under the installation of SP2. Only Windows 95 and NT4 SP5 can be selected on the Compatibility Layer on program properties. Windows 98 is now missing! Maybe reinstalling the app update will fix it, haven't tried it yet.

sp2 then upgrade to ie 5.5

i'm not sure if its just me but after a fresh install of win2k, installing sp2 then upgrading to ie 5. 5 when i goto about in ie it says updates:;sp1; and it did say updates:;sp2; before i just at ie 5.

Anyone run Internet Security and Acceleration Server? It says in the event view i have a conflict with my LAT and win2000 routing table. . . I know where the LAT is, it seems ok, but where is my win2000 routing table? how do I look at this?.

SP2 language error

What a fool i am! I just downloaded SP2 US-Version-only. I've installed the german version of Win2000. Is there any way to install it? I tried to set a different language within Windows, but it didn't work.

Checking Email With School Account

Ok, I'm not an idiot. . . at least I don't think so. I go to the University of Illinois and have checked my email through Outlook Express for 2 years now. I have to change my outgoing mail server to my ISP when I come home, but I leave the incoming mail server the same - students.

Problem after installing SP2

When I right click a folder or a partition, and click properties. . . . . . absolutely nothing happens !!! Just by installing SP2, how about that. Properties on files work OK. Well, I have no clue how to fix this.

Well someone said Office from version 95 onwards is all the same. Aesthetically it might be similar, but underneath it is not at all. Word 2002 (XP) makes even writing essays a pleasure, (almost). I can't comment on stability issues yet.
