Sound in DOS games

VDMSound is a package that overcomes some of the limitations of DOS boxes under Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. More specifically, it aims to offer adequate sound support to any DOS applications (utilities, games, etc.) running under Windows NT 4.0+.

As of this version, VDMSound emulates an MPU-401 interface (for playing MIDI music) as well as a SoundBlaster 16 card (for PCM sound effects).

For all of you who are still waiting for Internet Explorer 5.5 gold to be release (apart from some of you in the international areas who got it early last week). Microsoft are due to release all version on Wednesday July 12th.

European leaders seek to replace .com

European government and business leaders want to drop .com in favour of .eu as the flagship European domain extension, and want to use it to impose local ecommerce laws.

The European Commission (EC) yesterday reported on comments made following the February publication of a working paper on the .eu domain. The EC also announced the next steps to creating the new domain to the European Parliament.
