REBUILDING AN EXCHANGE 2000 DATABASE and Merging Lost Info into Exchange 2003 :
Overview: Our environment is as such. We were running on Exchange 2000 and experienced a Mail Store corruption due to a virus overload of our systems. Having fortunately previously built and partially implemented an Exchange 2003 server into our Active Directory, we were able to restore the 2000 Exchange system to a backup made several days prior to the corruption. We then successfully moved the mailboxes from the 2000 server to the 2003 server. This left us with 3 days of missing information that management deemed absolutely necessary. So we took steps to restore this information documented below.
