One of the most notable features introduced in Atlas v0.5.0 is support for Windows 11 25H2, allowing users to experience improved performance and functionality on this latest iteration of the operating system. Additionally, the release includes a brand-new feature called AtlasOS Toolbox, which provides users with an intuitive interface to manage their system settings.

Another exciting addition is ISO Injection, a powerful tool that enables users to customize and modify their Windows installation media. Furthermore, v0.5.0 brings a plethora of new wallpapers and themes, giving users the freedom to personalize their desktop experience.

The underlying infrastructure of Atlas has undergone significant improvements. The rewrite of all Atlas Folder scripts has improved efficiency and reduced the risk of errors while also introducing the ability for these scripts to save their state. This means that users can now enjoy a seamless and uninterrupted experience when utilizing these essential tools.

The hibernation script has been revamped to include an option in the power menu, allowing users to easily switch between hibernation and shutdown modes. Moreover, new "Windows Hello" and "Windows Update" scripts have been added, enabling users to take greater control of their system's security and maintenance needs.

Other notable enhancements include improvements to the newUser script, which is now more efficient when creating new user accounts; the Edge remover script has been updated for better performance; and CrossDeviceResume has been removed due to its redundancy. Additionally, static IP configuration is no longer set by default, giving users greater flexibility in their network settings.

A key change in Atlas v0.5.0 is the relocation of user-related registry changes to the default profile folder for users. This move aims to simplify system management and minimize potential conflicts between different user accounts. Another significant update is the enabling of WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) by default, which provides users with an additional layer of protection against system failures.

Atlas v0.5.0 incorporates numerous minor fixes and improvements in addition to these major updates. Some notable examples include hiding the EFI partition after a no-USB installation, resolving issues with uninstalling Process Explorer when Winget is malfunctioning, and addressing Automatic Folder Discovery errors.

As users look forward to upgrading their existing installations or installing Atlas for the first time, it's essential to note that the current upgrade path is limited to Windows 11 24H2 with AtlasOS v0.4.1. Users who are currently running v0.4.0 will need to reinstall and update to Windows 11 25H2 before installing v0.5.0.
