Here is a roundup of today's reviews, mainly with power supply reviews. A reviewer for APH Networks reflects on a past experience where two semi-professional go-kart drivers outpaced them but later found that the results were skewed due to being blocked by slower drivers. This experience led them to question whether lower-binned DDR5 RAM chips are being held back or have untapped potential. Meanwhile, several power supply unit reviews have been published, including a review of the XPG Pymcore SFX 80 PLUS Gold 850W PSU for its compact design and affordability. Other notable power supply units reviewed include the Corsair RM850x SHIFT 850W and the Thermaltake Toughpower SFX Platinum 1000W.

APH Networks: Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra RGB DDR5-6000 2x24GB Review

About a year ago, a new state-of-the-art indoor go-karting facility opened here in Calgary, and we decided to try it out with a group of friends. One of my friends brought two semi-professional-looking guys, and they showed up with their own helmets, gloves, and GoPro cameras. They talked about their racing experience, and while I am decently confident in my skills, it is often wise not to brag until you have the results. After two heats, the results were up, and they both beat me by anywhere from 0.3 to 0.5 seconds in our respective best laps -- an eternity in racing. Now, I was pretty sure I was a better driver, but I was assigned to the last kart both times, and I kept being deliberately blocked by five slow drivers in front of me who did everything in their power to not let me pass. I ended up congratulating the two guys on their win, as excuses are just excuses. I recently went back to the facility, and after a few heats, I proved myself right. I came in first for the day, fourth for the week, and 200 out of 56,000 overall lifetime record. I checked the online database, and the best times for the two guys were not even close to me -- their best laps gave them overall rankings of 6,000 and 8,000, respectively. It is never fun being held back, and with blockers out, I was able to unleash my full potential. When it comes to DDR5 RAM, SK hynix's M-die chips are the best in the industry, producing kits that exceed 8000MT/s bandwidth. However, the Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra RGB we are reviewing today, featuring the legendary M-die chips, are specified at only DDR5-6000. Are these lower-binned ICs just being held back, or are there lots of potential to unleash? Read on to find out!
