Belim has released Crapfixer 0.50, featuring a complete migration of the codebase from VB.NET to C#, along with a classic WinForms application. The user interface has undergone a redesign, allowing for the integration of advanced or external bloatware signatures. You can now directly execute actions from the context menu and enjoy enhanced feature assistance.
Crapfixer 0.50
This is now essentially a stable release
- The code has now been fully migrated from VB.NET to C#, including the UI, which unfortunately I had to "re-design" from scratch. It’s a classic WinForms application
- The status of the tree structure features is now saved in an INI file #15
- You can now integrate advanced or external bloatware signatures. Simply place the CFEnhancer.txt in the storage directory of MSCFixer.exe
- Context menu actions can now be executed directly without having to check in the entry first
- The context menu help for features via right-click or F1 has been expanded and can now also search for help pages online
- The assembly name in MSCfixer.exe has been changed. The app will always be called "Crapfixer." By the way, anyone up for donating a cool icon file and getting their name immortalized?
- I didn’t manage to migrate the old settings panel from my VB.NET application, and honestly, I don’t even want to anymore. We currently don’t need settings anyway, everything is nice and lean. However, Ive left a placeholder button for settings in the options menu.
- Numerous minor bug fixes and intensive refactoring. If you discover any bugs, please report them. I continue to write my logic without AI because I still enjoy coding. But I do let AI handle repetitive tasks and, of course, comments.
