CrapFixer 1.30 released
Belim just released CrapFixer 1.30. The big news is full support for Windows 11’s latest major update, build 25H2. So now if you've upgraded to that new OS version, CrapFixer should still work fine on your system.
There's also a notable integration with FlyOOBE's ExtensionsEngine built right into this release of CrapFixer. This implies that users have the potential to enhance the tool's functionality directly within their Windows setup through the use of extensions, thereby creating new opportunities.
Version 1.30 comes pre-installed with several scripts already enabled. Highlighting one specific example: Belim has included an extended PowerShell script by zoicware called RemoveWindowsAI. This handy tool lets you get rid of certain AI features Microsoft added to Windows 11 if you don't want them, and it's available straight from GitHub.
Under the hood, things are smoother too. Belim mentions improved resource management, which likely means CrapFixer uses fewer system resources now compared to older versions running on newer systems like Win 11 25H2 specifically, but probably overall too. They've streamlined some core processes for better efficiency.
Interestingly, CrapFixer no longer includes NAppClean.exe, which was previously part of the larger package. But it's still accessible via GitHub if you need that specific cleaning function separately.
And addressing some older bits: since Windows updates aren't always handled perfectly, even tools like CrapFixer can fall a bit behind. The team has tidied things up with some smaller core fixes and optimizations to keep the whole thing running reliably on modern systems.
