APH Networks: be quiet! Power Zone 2 750W Report

In the 1MORE True Wireless ANC Bluetooth earphones review I wrote back in 2020, I talked about how there are two groups of people in Calgary: Those who will argue that you will never need air conditioning at home because you only need it for two days of the year, and those who swear by one, because our summer months can get hot and an AC is necessary to maintain home comfort. As we approach the summer season, there are days that can hit well above 30c when the sun is out while maintaining temperatures close to 20c overnight. Every time someone from the first group brings up how it is so hard to sleep at night lately, I pull up the weather app on my iPhone and ask them the question, "Which two days are you specifically referring to?" Now, despite being a big fan of central AC, when I used to live at my parents' house, running it had a major tradeoff: Noise. They still have an early 2000s Lennox installed on the side yard, which meant every time it turns on, it will rumble all the living space like you are sitting next to a running washing machine. When I got married and moved out, I was at first hesitant in installing an AC unit on the side of my house due to my terrible experience with compressor noise, even though I knew modern units are much quieter. Eventually, I did install my AC on the side of my house. The model that convinced me was a side discharge unit optimized for low noise and high efficiency, compact form factor, and above all, it did not cost that much more than the cheapest model. Coincidentally, when it comes to power supplies, we often have similar wants: Low noise, high efficiency, compact, and affordable. The be quiet! Power Zone 2 750W aims to check all these boxes. Will this PSU convince you to be the next one that sits inside your chassis? Read on to find out!
