NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 591.74 for Windows released
NVIDIA released its latest GeForce Game Ready Driver for Windows 10 and 11. Version 591.74 is there to make sure things work properly.
This new driver primarily focuses on updating support for technologies like DLSS 4.5 now. But it also tackles some stability issues found in earlier updates. The goal here is about getting the latest games running smoothly and reliably.
The improvements are noticeable right away with certain games. For instance, Arena Breakout: Infinite is included here; players shouldn't encounter crashes anymore.
Beyond that specific game fix, there have been other problems addressed too. One thing was related to display brightness adjustment, so it should work better now on different screens. Digital Vibrance colors might look more correct than before. Additionally, the slight banding effects in gradients may disappear if you're using the standard dynamic range mode. There's also an issue with the NVIDIA Control Panel notification tray icon being unselectable that's fixed.
Then there's another thing some gamers were dealing with: when trying to use RTX HDR inside Vulkan games on LG OLED TVs. Before, this setup might have caused problems or blacked out completely. Now, that should be handled properly, giving you a proper bright image instead of just showing dark.
